Amazing tour - Very good excursion inspite of booking error, we booked another excursion and ended up on this excursion. The company graciously offered to make amends and refunded the difference in price at our return to ship. Our driver Joseph and guide Justice were excellent. Waiting for us at port and nice suv. The drive to the castles is over 90 Minutes and traffic is heavy with two lane roads with many large trucks and tractor trailers. The castles are very interesting with the dark side of slave trading a somber moment . Justice gave a thorough tour explaining history and the events.Lunch was at a local restaurant that was fabulous, another couple ate with us who were on the same tour in a different vehicle, they gave us each a variety of food that could have fed a family of 6! Got us back to the ship on time .

Great tour, fantastic tour guide! - We really loved this tour of Ghana and our guide, Patrick was excellent. We enjoyed seeing the more rural villages on our way to the canopy and Patrick was very knowledgeable on the culture and history of his country. The canopy was fantastic, and afterwards, we went to Cape Coast Castle. This experience was deeply impactful and one that I still think about and will never forget. Thank you Patrick for a wonderful and memorable tour, we hope to come back!

Blastours is FANTASTIC! - Great shore excursion! We were picked up promptly and Cleve was our guide. Very nice A/C conditioned van with WiFi. Our group of 8 decided we would like to see the UNESCO World Heritage sites vs the swinging bridge and Cleve made it happen. What an AWESOME day learning about Ghana. Cleve was super-knowledgeable and gave us in-depth insights on the history, people and daily life here. The provided lunch was excellent!

Mimi and Blastours is the best - Mimi helped me organize a tour of Takoradi for 25 of us coming from the Zuiderdam, and she is excellent. All the glowing reviews I read on the Internet are accurate as she and Blastours are quality from start to finish. Patrick was our guide on one van, and Tony on the other. Both were also excellent. Six fantastic stops. Especially good was seeing wooden boat building.

Takoradi Shore Excursion - We booked this tour on a recommendation from a previous cruise. This was the easiest company to deal with. Mimi answered emails very quickly and they were punctual, professional and presented their country in a good light. We had Felix for our guide. He actually wrote a book which is sold at one of his sights. The tour was one of the best of our trip. The lunch was very good and everyone on this tour was more than satisfied. They did not request payment until we were on tour. I wish they had other tours in the ports we travelled to. Great company.

Great day from ship in Takoradi - We used Michael from Blas Tours for a one day shore private excursion from our cruise ship in Takoradi. He drove from Accra the night before and so was waiting for us shipside when we were able to disembark an hour late. He drove us in a very reasonable car to Kakum National Park first, and waited one hour plus while a park guide took us on the 7 segment canopy tour. After Kakum, we went to Cape Coast castle and had a very interesting castle tour guide take us on a 45 minute tour of the former slave shipping point. We then made a brief stop, and drove by Elmira Castle. We then determined that to get back to the ship timely, it was going to be a significant challenge, as it was going to be about 2 hours of driving in traffic. Michael did a great job under difficult conditions and we thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and driving. Also a 'shout-out' should go to Mimi who coordinated our booking. Everything was very easy and professional.

Highly recommend - I have nothing but positive things to say about Blastours. We arrived Takoradi on the Azamara Journey on Dec 10,2022. My group of 11 did the Takoradi – Central Region History tour. I had arranged this itinerary with Mimi a few months before our ship docked at Takoradi. Mimi was a delight to deal with. My experience in dealing with her has been very positive. Emails were promptly replied to in a timely and professional manner. We had Felix as our guide. He was right at the gangway to greet us. He was very informative, knowledgeable, competent, and responsive to our needs. Everything was conducted professionally and delivered as promised, including the vehicle used. We were all taken by surprise at how sumptuous our lunch was. One of the very best tours in my recent memory (I’d been to 150+ countries according to CTC (Century Travellers Club) definition). Highly recommended.

Recommend - This was our first trip to Ghana. Since the cruise ship stopped in Takoradi, we had hoped to visit Elmina and Cape Coast castles, which are rated World Heritage Sites by UNESCO and are clearly of great historical interest. We were not disappointed, but rather most fortunate in this experience. The tour guide Nii Solomon was both qualified and competent. The lunch was delightful and we were returned to the port with time to spare. We recommend this tour.

Exciting Day Tour - We were on a 71 day cruise around Africa and stopping in Ghana for the very first time. Since our cruise was booked in 2019 and postponed several years due to Covid, we had to find a tour operator that we could trust and could work with us through all the itinerary changes and postponements. Blastours was just that. Mimi, the manager, was absolutely fantastic to work with. She was extremely responsive and helped us taylor a tour that would fit in our limited time in port. When we finally arrived in Takoradi, to make matters worse, we were delayed by the local authorities for a couple of hours on disembarkation on the day of the tour. Since we wanted to do the skywalk in the Kakum forest which is a 2+ hour drive from the port, we were quite concerned with our ability to fit it all in and still get back to the ship on time. Blastours took really good care of us all the way through the more than difficult skywalk (that we did not quite anticipate), through providing a terrific lunch with a good bottle of local beer, and getting us back to the ship on time. I want to commend them for their organization, their guides that were very informative, and how careful they were with some of us that had mobility issues and yet or totally able to do the exciting skywalk along with the rest of the group. That was done only through the help of the guides. The lunch was great and carefully prepared well enough even for those people that were concerned with dietary issues. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend this tour company.

Impressed with the knowledgeable guide - Although not the fault of Blast Tours, Ghana officials caused a 2-hour delay in allowing passengers to disembark. This affected our tour as it was supposed to start at 0800 hours but we could not leave the ship until after 1000 hours. Excursion included an interesting and sobering tour of the prison where slaves were held before being shipped to the colonies or England
