Great intro to takayama - We had a great tour in Takayama! I would recommend this tour - especially on your first day or two visiting as it showed us different places to go and eat! Definitely come hungry to this tour! Great way to see a very cool town and experience a bit of the culture!

Excellent guide - Yama our guide was very informative and we had an excellent morning exploring beautiful Takayama and sampling some very delicious food and sweets. The sake factory tour was also good and we learnt a lot and sampled various type of sake.

Private tour of takayama - Mu was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to less trodden parts of the old district and found the best food stores for us. The sake brewery tour and tasting was a highlight. Highly recommend

Fantastic day with Miyuki! - Miyuki was a fantastic and enthusiastic guide. We learnt so much about Takayama and sake from her. She also brought us to eat, amongst others, the most delicious dango we've ever eaten in this nondescript shop off a side road. Miyuki gave us helpful tips on how to find the nearest public toilets and where to buy local apples at better prices. We highly recommend Happy Plus tours!

Wonderful way to see Takayama! - We really enjoyed our tour with Yama (sp?). He was very friendly and taught us a lot about Takayama's history and local culture. We got to eat 4-5 small dishes around town, which was enough for a light lunch and introduced us to things we would not have otherwise tried. The sake brewery tour was very informative and the sake was delicious and plentiful. My only wish is that they had allowed other people to join the tour! Some people may prefer a private tour, but I like to mingle with other travelers and would've enjoyed a bigger group. I also could've eaten a lot more food but this was definitely worth the money.
