Paper making 101 - A great experience and a good way to spend a quiet hour inside (in the AC) learning an ancient craft and off the hot city streets.

Historical and creative experience for all ages - Watashino creates a truly memorable experience, one of a kind in Tokyo. Kazu patiently and expertly walked our group (including a grandma and a six year old) through the 1000 year old traditional process. He was incredibly informative and encouraging. After an hour, you will leave with four postcard sized sheets of paper that you create from scratch and a newfound appreciation for handcrafted Tosa washi. Do. Not. Miss.

Washi Paper Making Workshop - Kazu was very friendly and walked us through the entire process of washi paper making. We were able to choose several designs and create our own washi. Kazu would tell us, show us, and then have us do each step in the process. The shop is also very beautiful and has gorgeous washi journals, stamp books, and postcards. This workshop was fun and engaging and I would highly recommend it.

Papermaking - A very good experience to learn about the process of making washi paper in Japan. Kazu was very kind and patient with us, the venue is small and offers a more personal and intimate experience for small groups. Workshops are held with 4 personalized postcards per person. I recommend it!
