Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko (河口湖) is the most accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes, with train and direct bus connections to Tokyo. A hot spring resort town with various tourist attractions and views of Mount Fuji is located around the lake’s eastern end, while the northern and western shores remain mostly undeveloped. The best views of Mount Fuji are from the lake’s northern shores, especially during cherry blossom season in mid-April and the autumn colors in early November. The seaside promenade near the Kawaguchiko Music Forest is a lovely spot for cherry blossoms, while the “Momiji Tunnel,” a maple tree-covered road section along the lake’s northern shore, is perfect for autumn colors.

Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) consists of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako. These ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, filtering through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water revered by locals. Visitors can drink the cool water directly from the source. The ponds, though developed into tourist attractions, maintain a pleasant atmosphere with interesting freshwater plant life and large fish.

From this deck, over 1000 meters above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake and Mount Fuji. Please be informed that entry to Mount Fuji’s 5th station is contingent upon weather conditions exclusively. During the hiking season, we cannot go to the 5th station. You have to take a shuttle bus or taxi, which costs 2500 yen per person.
