Additional Information

Goshuin, referred to as a ‘red seal’, serves as evidence of one’s pilgrimage to a sacred shrine or temple. It typically includes the name of the spiritual site, the deity enshrined, and the date of pilgrimage, all inscribed with ink. An environmentally sustainable goshuincho (stamp book) can be crafted by repurposing residual fabrics from kimono production, recycled paper bags, and gift wrap. Carrying your bespoke Goshuin book to each shrine and temple enriches the personal significance of your journey. We offer an exclusive experience for visitors to Japan, enriching their time spent in this unique culture.

Amazing and unique experience - I wish I could give it even more stars. We had such an amazing time doing this activity and created such a unique booklet to write about our trip (and collect stamps of course). Pat is an amazing hostess: she gave us advice on how to achieve the design we had in mind, she also enabled us to be creative. She was all through the hour positive, cheerful and kind. Definitely worth booking if you want to create your own unique book. We might be back for other activities they offer if we have time.

Pleasant for everyone - It was a lovely experience! Went with my family who all had varying experiences with crafting (from a lot to none) and everyone enjoyed their time. It’s easy to make a simple book and fun to get more detailed with it if you can. Pat was really great, and I’d love to come back again!

A bookmaking craft for all experience levels - Our host Pat was amazingly patient, educational, helpful. The bookmaking was a great little crafting break when sightseeing, in a clean little Cafe tucked away with drinks. We had our own table and ample materials needed to make our goshuin book. Having a handmade takeaway is such a lovely memory. Would recommend this experience and try other offerings the team has too.

Perfect activity for an artsy tourist - I had a beautiful and relaxing time making my Goshuin. The teacher was so kind and welcoming. When I arrived, she showed me a menu of drinks I could choose from that came complimentary with the experience. She was attentive, but didn’t huddle over me, so I always had everything I needed, and I didn’t feel like she was crowding me. She was so friendly, and it was great chatting with her since I was by myself. The book was very easy to make, and there were lots of beautiful materials to choose from. I enjoyed it so much, that I asked if I could stay and make a second one. Two women from Hong Kong came while I was there, and we sat at the same table. I was so impressed that our teacher was fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin, and she spoke with all of us so easily. It was nice to chat just a little bit with other ladies as well. My Goshuin books came out beautifully, and I have already started collecting stamps in them. They are the perfect personal souvenirs to bring home.

Best Crafting I've done in a while - I'm so glad I found this! The ladies were wonderful and explained every step. There's so much material to choose from. I enjoyed myself so much, I stayed longer for a second class! (Mizuhiki - which was just as fun!)

Simple and Cozy - I came to Pink. Asakusa to make a lovely Goshuin (stamp) book. The place features nice and cozy vibes, and is able to cater to customers of various languages, including English, Malay, and Chinese. The instructor was friendly and patient. Great place to engage in their range of activities or just to hang out.
