Family-focused food tour - We had a wonderful few hours with Moroni, exploring Asakusa and sampling Japanese food. My son was really excited to try the different foods, and it helped us know what we were eating for the rest of the trip. Motivo was so gracious and kind and she answered all of our questions about Japanese food and dining culture, and more. And she went out of her way to make it kid-friendly, with origami and fish catching and more. Heads up - you can use the toilet on the basement floor of the Cultural Center before you meet for the tour.

Asakusa family tour - We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide Kay was very knowledgeable and engaging, but also fun and super friendly. The whole family enjoyed sampling the food and visiting this beautiful area and the Senso-ji temple. We were very happy and we feel we learned a lot! We would recommend the experience. Thanks Kay and Arigato travel team!!

Incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable guide - We had a great day together with our guide Motoko. She was attentive, friendly and good at adapting the trip to our wishes. She was very good with the children, and got them interested and taught them a lot about Japanese culture, food and religious customs. She also took the time to research about places we wanted to visit afterwards. This was one of the best days of our entire trip to Japan!

Asakusa Food Tour with a tween - My daughter (9) and I recently took the Asakusa Food Tour. We. Had an excellent experience. Our guide, Josh, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. We learned a lot about the area (and Tokyo/Japan in general) that we would not have otherwise learned. Highly recommend!

Delicious and fun tour - Michie was such an amazing host to our family of 5 (including 3 small children!). She was warm, knowledgeable, and very personable. Although some of our stops ran long (it was a crowded time of the season), she still stayed with us till the end and the tour ran smoothly. We were able to sample all kinds of yummy snacks, had lunch as well, and learned so much about the food and the history of food in Japan. Would highly recommend.

Great experience for me and my two teenage boys. - I went with my two teenage boys. Wes (Wesley) was fantastic. He gave the tour a great personal touch, with a good sense of humor. He showed us local shops and restaurants with their back stories, and had us taste new snacks we didn’t know anything about before. And as an added bonus, he understood the latest Japanese anime, which meant he had a lot to talk about with my boys. Time just flew. Thanks Wes, and thanks Arigato.

Typical food and drink with an instructive commentary from our guide. - We had a private tour with Satoko as our guide. The area we walked through, Taito, was not too touristy and seemed to be a vibrant community with many local specialty food vendors and restaurants. We snacked our way through the neighborhood, had a tasty lunch. We also had a shortened tea service with antique cups. The one I drank from was 180 years old. Throughout, our guide, Satoko, gave a running informative commentary that I found unusually good. It was a great way to spend a mid-day in Tokyo.

Unforgettable ! - Great visit with Michie and Wes! Beyond being really nice people, they gave us a lot of information about Tokyo, customs, vocabulary etc... we ate very well! The lunch restaurant was located right across the canal in front of the Skytree Tower. Top!

Not worth the price. - I was not overly impressed by this tour, particularly since the price is very high. I learned very little about Japan or Tokyo. I don't feel like our guide was very knowledgeable. I wouldn't recommend it.
