Highlights
  • Page Meadows Parking - On this adventure, we will be immersing ourselves in the forest under a moonlit sky. Without a doubt, exploring winter landscapes under a full moon is an unmatched experience. There is stillness, peacefulness, and silence that only exist under the stars, allowing for an opportunity to tap into the wilderness unattainable during the day. After strapping snowshoes to our boots, we relaxingly walk through the shadows of tall trees gaining access to large alpine meadows. Through these meadows, the expanse of the night sky opens up allowing the piercing moonlight to illuminate the snow. Snow crystals on the surface of the snow catch and reflect moonlight creating an ever-changing flickering light show as we move with each step. Roughly 2 hours will be spent walking through the various meadows and forests as we create a loop. Due to the large meadows and open sky various constellations ranging from Orion, Pegasus, Pisces, Andromeda, and more will be available to see and be pointed out with a high-powered laser. Due to the area and time of day, seeing another group will be unlikely. So step off the beaten path and allow us to show you a true mountain outing you won’t surely forget.

Special experience and great staff - This was the highlight of our long weekend ski trip. Departure point is very easy to reach and close to Tahoe City. Guides were super friendly and knowledgeable about the stars and sky, using a laser pointer to point out the constellations. The snow shoes were in good condition and worked well. We wore ski pants and a light jacket for the beautiful night we went as well as water proof boots and gloves. It's a little over 2 hours and easy if you are in reasonable shape. Highly recommend this unique and very memorable experience!

Unique Tour - We came on a peak night! The skies were clear and the stars were amazing. The combination of star gazing and information about the ecology of the Lake Tahoe area was very interesting. Highly recommend.
