- Luhur Batukaru Temple - Mt. Batukaru, the second tallest mountain on the Island of the Gods, is situated in central Bali. The starting point for your jungle trek is the temple named after the mountain - Pura Luhur Batukaru. Balinese people visit the temple for blessing ceremonies, such as before embarking on a hike or climbing the mountain. If interested, you can also explore the ancient temple before the trek begins.
- Mount Batukaru - The nature reserve surrounding Mt. Batukaru boasts one of Bali’s most beautiful and untouched rainforests. Armed with a bamboo walking stick, you’ll hike through the lush, tropical jungle filled with enormous plants, ferns, and ancient trees. You’ll cross small, clear rivers and follow the local ranger over varied terrain, who will accompany you alongside your personal guide. The ranger is highly knowledgeable about the jungle and will always guide you correctly. His expertise in the flora and fauna of the rainforest is remarkable, and he is eager to share it with you. You’ll feel rejuvenated for the remainder of the trek. - Balikaru - After this active adventure through one of Bali’s most stunning rainforests, you can unwind a bit on the drive to the charming village of Belulang. However, there is always time for a photo stop along the way, as the numerous rice terrace fields provide endless photo opportunities. The clever, terraced arrangement of the rice fields and the ingenious irrigation system make them special not only in Bali - Bali’s rice terraces are renowned worldwide.

Balikaru - A leisurely, short hike takes you along the rice terraces to Balikaru. Along the way, your guide will explain the various tropical plants that either grow wild here or are cultivated by the residents of the small mountain village.
And that’s not all there is to know - welcome to Balikaru. Here you can stroll through the lush garden with more than 40 different plants, herbs, and spices. Whether ginger, chili, pandanus, or lemongrass - there’s a herb for everything here, and your guide knows all about the importance of these medicinal plants for health or in Balinese cuisine. There are also many tropical fruits to marvel at, such as bananas, papayas, and sirsak.
A healthy Jamu drink will serve you as a welcome. Additionally, you can relax with a 15-minute massage; both together will give you back the energy you need after the hike. - Belulang Hot Spring - After the lunch break, hike through the picturesque village of Belulang, which is located at the foothills of Batukaru. When the weather is fine, you have a fantastic view of the impressive Gunung Batukaru and two other volcanoes - a fantastic mountain backdrop. When you reach the lower village, the driver is already waiting for you. But before you head on your way back, there is still time to visit the Belulang hot springs. The traditional sulphur spring has many healing properties, and the sacred spring is often visited by locals to take a soothing bath. - Yeh Ho Waterfalls - Continue off the beaten track and before you return to your hotel or guesthouse, stop at the Yeh Ho waterfall. The idyllically scenic waterfall is surrounded by rice terraces and nestled in beautiful nature. Time for some last souvenir photos of a wonderful, very exciting day in nature.
