Rooftop Magic - My friends and I took Angelo’s walking tour of Syracuse and were so impressed that we immediately booked Angelo for dinner. It was fantastic!! Worth every penny! We started with prosecco and local meats and cheeses, then moved on to a 4 course meal: tuna with blood orange granita (OMG!), seafood risotto, stuffed cod, and pistachio tiramisu. Absolutely excellent!!! Importantly, Angelo’s wine pairing was spot on. The rooftop sunset view was a perfect accompaniment to our candlelit meal. I can’t say enough good things about our evening with Angelo. He and his girlfriend Loren made sure that our dinner was memorable. Highly recommend!

An incredible experience. - An incredible experience. Angelo and Loren are the kindest, friendliest hosts. Their home is lovely. The whole experience is relaxing, inviting, and the rooftop space is so romantic. We drank Prosecco until Angelo brought out the most amazing appetisers in the form of finger-food. As I have a gluten intolerance, Angelo made sure to make all our food gluten free which I really appreciated. Angelo told us where each ingredient was from, how it was made and why it was chosen. Which made all the difference between this experience and other dining options in the area. I'd recommend this experience at the beginning of your trip as Angelo can give you great recommendations for food, culture and what to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and cannot thank Angelo and Loren for their exceptional hospitality and kindness. Thank you Angelo and Loren!

One of a kind experience!!!! - Angelo is a wonderful chef. Along with his girlfriend, Loren. They made us feel like royalty. The meal was fantastic. The setting was amazing. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. From the minute we met Angelo, it was like meeting family. We felt comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic Chef, Fantastic Host, Fantastic Environment and Fantastic Evening ❤️ - We had an amazing time celebrating our 28th Wedding anniversary. Our host and Chef Angelo, his partner Lauren, who helped host and serve us and Jack (their pet Jack Russell) were fantastic throughout the evening and created a lovely romantic environment for our special celebration. From the time of booking, until the day we arrived Angelo enquired and kept me informed of all dietary and special requirements. On the evening of our experience, Angelo enthusiastically explained to us not only the ingredients used for our meal but also the origins of the produce and history behind of how those ingredients came to Sicily including his Nanna’s incredible Lemoncello. Food was fantastic and we would both highly recommend this experience to anyone who is wishing to taste authentic Sicilian Food, prepared and served by Sicilian Chef. 🇬🇧❤️🇮🇹

Amazing, delicious evening, with a risotto I'll never forget! - Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a wonderful evening on my birthday with Angelo on his beautiful rooftop for my birthday. He was knowledgeable, professional but so generous and friendly as a host. The menu was an amazing tour of local produce and cuisine, some of the ingredients and elements were home made by his family. The dish which I loved and will truly never forget was the prawn risotto - using local Sicilian red prawns, the dish was delicious and me and my boyfriend still talk about it months later. Angelo even cooked a special dessert for my birthday using his amazing pastry skills, and as a dessert lover this was much appreciated. In addition to the amazing menu of delicious food, Angelo also gave advice on things to see and do whilst we were in the area - and his recommendations did not disappoint, we went to the market he suggested the next day and had a wonderful morning. If you want a personal tour of Sicilian food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, do not hesitate to book this experience.

Heaven on the rooftop - It was a wonderful experience! Angelo is trying to fulfill all your wishes! It is an experience for all senses. He makes you feel special! He is not only a wonderful cook but can tell you a lot of the history of the food as well as the places where they come from. I can fullheartedly highly recommend it!! Stunning experience - Amazing Experience! The food was absolutly amazing, stunning, incredible, perfect ! Angelo and Lauren are very good cookers, and love to share their knowlegde and experiences about food, history of Sicily and so much more. Highly recommended private dining experience - My wife and I had the pleasure of being hosted by Angelo during our stay in Ortigia in Oct 2020. It was an amazing evening and we highly recommend the experience. Everything about the evening was perfect. Angelo and Loren looked after us incredibly well. The food, service and the view from the rooftop terrace were first class. We ate very well and learned a lot about the ingredients, the local area and much more. I would not hesitate to go back and experience this again. Highly, highly recommended. A real highlight from our trip. Thank you once again Angelo and Loren.

Dining with the finest. - Late September my friends and I travelled from Scicli, Sicily to Syracuse specially to dine with Angelo for our friends birthday and it was definitely a fantastic decision. From his wonderful hospitality and making sure our meal wasn't ruined due to the rain (was supposed to be on a rooftop but due to a storm we moved inside to a quant restaurant) and extensive detail of his delicious food was just the beginning. Each dish had its own uniqueness to it and was unbelievably tasty. My favourite dish was the eggplant which I hope to try and recreate (English style), followed by tiramisu which is my favourite desert anyway but this was most definitely the best I have ever eaten. Angelo's girlfriend Lauren was also fantastic and I would like to say that now I have friends to visit when I return to the island. Don't miss out on a meal of a life time and make sure you dine with Angelo, you won't regret it.

Highly recommend - beautiful food, beautiful view and fantastic hosts - This experience was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Syracuse. Angelo and Loren were fantastic hosts. We were greeted and taken up to their rooftop terrace and offered a glass of Prosecco to start. We sat down and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunset over the old town. Angelo is extremely knowledgable about the local area along with the history of Syracuse and Sicily - we both learnt so much from him. We began with Ricotta aperitifs before moving across to the dining table, where we could see into the kitchen and watch Angelo prepare our dishes and explain the ingredients and history behind each dish he was creating. Our starters were a take on a Caprese Salad, with tomatoes on mozzarella, in a basil 'sauce' - and he decorated them to look like toadstools! Our first course was a beautiful green risotto, made with a special lemon that looks like a lime! It was decorated so beautifully with home-grown flowers and crunchy onions (and crunch bacon pieces for my boyfriend) and tasted sublime. This was my boyfriends favourite dish of the evening. Our second course was Angelo's take on a Caponata - a famous Sicilian dish. It was so rich and full with flavour - I could have eaten another portion! This was my favourite dish. A lovely bottle of wine was also included in the meal. Our dessert was a citrus semi-freddo with blood orange flavours and a strawberry coulis, which was delicious!! To finish off the meal we each had some limoncello, and were offered espressos. It was such a unique experience, and very good value for money. We both thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food and drinks were excellent and you could see the love and passion Angelo has for his food and hosting for his guests. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. He even gave us a recommendation for another restaurant to try, and booked us in for the following evening! All in all, a great evening that I would definitely do again if we come back!
