Well worth the visit! - Nice museum of indigenous art. If you were looking for a museum with a collection of European Classics, impressionist, or western artists, you are likely to be disappointed. While they have a few such paintings on display, the bulk of their collection is Australian artists.
That said, the aboriginal art is unparalleled. They have paintings on various media as well as baskets and pottery. They also had more modern aboriginal art which I had never seen before.
They have a light and sound exhibit in an abandoned, navy oil tank, which is eerie, but inspiring.
It was absolutely worth the two hours I spent there.
