Great Experience - I found out bout this trip from (Dave) the host while taking part in tthe Wombat Kangaroo tour https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/AttractionProductReview-g255060-d16807912-Wild_Wombat_and_Kangaroo_Day_Tour_from_Sydney-Sydney_New_South_Wales.html I would highly recommend both trips. Dave was a wealth of knowledge and a great fun host. We were able to see all the animals mentioned and found a few additional which added to the fun.

Fascinating Flying Foxes - I have never seen a flying fox so the idea was intriguing! Dave picked us up in central Sydney and drove us to the bat location, filling us in on all the bat information possible plus other interesting facts about Australia and its wildlife. Once we arrived I was astounded at the number of bats and how visible they were. Watching them fly about, argue amongst themselves was amazing. We also saw a bush turkey, spiders and a range of pretty birds. Dave brought a number of good cameras for us to use to get better pictures and then downloaded these to our phones! All very well planned. This was a really enjoyable and fascinating trip!

Flying Flying Fox Experience, truly lives up to its name, there were thousands of Australia’s Largest Bat. - This tour with “Perfect Day Sydney” was more than we expected. Dave, our tour guide and driver was so organized. He had water, fruit, snack bars, both sweet and savory snacks, hand wipes, bug spray, and charging battery packs, the most complete list of items. Dave is full of facts, he is engaging, considerate and funny. We drove to the location where the bats were. OMGosh!! We had no idea how many flying fox there would be. He was more than happy to help take photos of us with many bats in the background. When we were back in the van to head home, he air dropped some of his photos from the day. This trip is great for any age! Highly recommend!

Great tour with an Amazing guide! - Dave has such a passion for these amazing bats and it shows with how well his tour is put together. His tour is great to fit in the early part of the day, and you have the remaining day to explore Sydney on your own for the rest of the afternoon. He is super flexible and dropped all of us off close to where we were going the rest of the day. His van is stocked with waters and yummy snacks, and he even has mobile wifi for you!! Not only does he take you to enjoy the bats, he shares his amazing professional looking photos that he took that day with everyone! Dave again goes above and beyond, as he not only does what the tour says, he then makes an extra stop to an amazing photo opportunity of the opera house and the surrounding city. We got some great photos thanks to Dave. Would definitely recommend this tour- and also his AMAZING wombat tour!!!

Flying Fox Friday - This is a short, but very interesting tour. Dave is by far one of the most entertaining guides I ever had. Besides the cow jokes, he is also very knowledgeable. He also offers water and a range of sweet and savoury snacks and the van is also equipment with decent WiFi. The tour itself is basically just a visit to a flying fox colony near Sydney, but it's quite amazing to be in the presence of thousands of flying foxes. You can see them hanging and flying around, and making quite the noise. In order for you to take better pictures of all the animals, Dave also provides DSLR cameras. At the end of the tour Dave will help you save those pictures to your mobile phone. I know bats and flying foxes are not as cute and popular as koalas, wombats and roos, but you should definitely give them a chance. You'll be in awe around them. And if you do this tour during 'spider season' you'll also see plenty of yellow orb weaver spiders :-)

Visit an active and amazing flying fox colony, recommend! - We booked onto this tour after thoroughly enjoying the wombat and kangaroo tour Dave also does. Dave was welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, making sure we got photos of us as well as the flying foxes. The flying foxes were amazing, with thousands of them flying about, stretching, calling, nursing, mating and sleeping. Dave offered toilet breaks and had snacks, drinks, umbrellas, battery packs, cameras, binoculars and WiFi (on the bus) to make sure everyone could be involved and see the adorable flying foxes. Since Dave knew we were interested in all Australian wildlife, he took photos of those of us brave enough with a golden orb weaver spider in front of our faces (i.e. we stood behind the cobweb and spider while the photo was taken!) which was really cool. Dave shared the photos taken on his cameras (some attached to this review). Recommend doing this tour to see a flying fox colony (potentially with pups!) and appreciate their antics for an hour or two.
