Buy the Jungfrau travel pass. Totally worth it! - If you are spending a few days in the Jungfrau region the Jungfrau travel pass is a must! I covers all of the trains and cable cars from Interlaken to Murren and offers a $63chf ticket to the top of Europe.

Good purchase - Wonderful pass to have. allowed our family to move through the region with ease. However, it does not include the top of Europe.

Savour the journey and the moments! - This is amongst the more unique things you will get to do in Switzerland as a tourist. They have ensured every place has something that keeps the regular tourist interested. Everything from the Eiger express to the Jungfraubahn to the 'at the top' experience is well planned out. We had the Jungfrau travel pass and half fare card. The train ticket is cheaper this way. We got the ticket from Grindelwald terminal. If staying in Grindelwald, reach the terminal before 10 if possible as groups from other places start pouring in. You will be given a timed ticket for Eiger express, after which you just follow instructions. Savour the journey Every place is crowded (even on non weekends in May) as there is limited space on the mountain top. Still it's one touristy thing that should be done, especially with kids. We went on a cloudy day and above it was absolutely clear! By the time we were ready to go back, we had already spent more than an hour in the snow! And were damn hungry and tired. Guess it was the rarefied air or maybe just the excitement. Keep some snacks as lunch times will be crowded and you will get hungry playing in the snow. Also keep dark glasses. My photo chromatic glasses remained dark for more than 10 minutes after we went inside! And, silicon shoe covers ensured we did not slip in the compact snow too much. Use gloves if playing with snow.

Pass works great. Highly recommend to print your ticket at home before travel - The pass is about the same price as Jungfrau website. However, purchasing through Viator let me earn points on this reservation. It’s a win win! The QR code that I was given worked. I highly suggest that you print the QR code and have them with you. We bought 3 days pass. On day 1 of my trip, I was able to see the QR code ticket on Viator. On day 2 and 3 , the trip was changed to past trip and I was unable to see QR code. I was glad I printed them out.

Amazing experience - Wow what an experience - the views are simply stunning, and experiencing snow in August was a first! We actually visited twice during our week in Switzerland, our son loved the snow! It was as expected very busy, but don’t let this put you off. We took the cable car up and down on both visits. The first visit we experienced lots of pushing to get on the final train up which was not an enjoyable experience, I do feel there could be a better way of organising passengers onto the train similar to how you board a ride at a theme park. The second visit was much better, having a reservation for the train, we walked past the crowds right up to the other end of the platform, almost as far as you can go. Here we boarded with ease, no pushing and found a seat really easily. On our first visit we complete missed the best snow in my experience on the UNESCO side, here there were deck chairs to enjoy the views, the snow park were we enjoyed the Snow Tubes and a hike if you wanted to explore. The Ice Glacier was great but much busier and the queue for a photo with the flag was huge. We found there was a flag for a photo on the Snow Park area near the deck chairs without the queues. Go as early as you can, we got the 8.45 train to the top and it was fairly quiet, we allowed ourselves three hours there and it was very busy as we left. We got an earlier train down both times with no problem at all. The restaurant was packed with pre reserved coach trips so that wasn’t ideal, but we did enjoy a hot chocolate on the snow!

Seen and done - It was an amazing experience and the shops on site provided a great range of souvenirs. We opted for the 2-hour visit which would have been ample but there was a slight delay during yhd journey up there which limited time. 3-hrs would allow you to take your time, do yhd full 1.5hr discovery tour and thd shops. Be aware, it gets busy and the large groups have a tendency to push/shove their way around.

A bitter sweet experience - The view from the Top of Europe is truly breathtaking and definitely worth seeing at least once. However, during the summer months, the train from Interlaken tends to be extremely crowded—though still manageable. Our experience took a turn once we reached Eigergletscher via cable car. While waiting in a long queue of about 250 people to catch the final train to Jungfraujoch, we encountered an incredibly rude staff member who refused to let us board because we were just one minute late. Despite the circumstances, we had to beg and negotiate with him for nearly ten minutes before he finally allowed us through. On our return, the train was scheduled to depart at 13:47. We arrived at 13:39, but were told by another staff member that we needed to be there at least 10 minutes earlier—again, with little to no clear signage or communication provided. We were then made to wait in yet another line to board the exact same train. In general, the Jungfrau rail staff gave very little direction and were unnecessarily rude. I personally witnessed 10 to 15 families having to turn back to their hotels halfway through their trips due to missing their ticket windows—something that could have easily been avoided with better organization and clearer communication. I sincerely hope the Swiss authorities take steps to improve this process and make the experience more tourist-friendly!

Prospective Travelers to the UK, check out the geographical coverage of your potential SIM Card before buying!! - Traveling from Australia to the UK and Ireland we purchased a local Sim Card for Phone and internet coverage while travelling. 35GB per month while travelling was a good deal....so we thought. Apart from in London we had very little coverage enough to use our phones well enough for 'Maps' and Googling. Throughout, York, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and Wales, we had to rely on the internet of B&Bs and Shops to get coverage. This at a time that 3 were promising coverage and newly merged with Vodaphone - the adverts were for 'Twice the Coverage'. Its rubbish. Coverage was crap, their communications were crap, and we needed the Airport free-wifi in order to use the App and Instructions to set the Sim up in the first place. Well worth it to prospective travelers, check out the actual coverage that a mobile network has in terms of geographical coverage before wasting your money.

PP - Grindelwald relies heavily on masses. Individual visitors and Top4 owners are staffage. 29/30 only groups are brought forward. It can be done. Hopefully other areas will also upgrade, then Grindelwald can be left to its own devices and mass tourism. Was very impressed with the concept so far. Can no longer recommend it after this experience.
