• Freysnes - We meet up at Freysnes gas station by our equipment truck. There we will fit you with the equipment needed to hike a glacier confidently and safely. From there we drive our trusted super-jeeps to the glacier’s edge. Then we will begin our hike towards the ice fall on the picturesque Falljökull.

The Glacier Discovery tour offers an incredible journey to a stunning glacier ice fall. With a limit of 8 participants per guide, comfort and safety are our top priorities. Following a carbon-offset 4×4 journey, participants gear up at the glacier’s edge, don crampons, take up ice axes, and embark on a hike—climbing over 300 meters towards the ice fall. Enveloped by blue ice and glacier-sculpted peaks, explorers will discover crevasses, moulins, waterfalls, and other remarkable features in this dynamic landscape.

This tour is ideal for those eager for an immersive glacier hike in Iceland. Throughout the journey, the guide provides insights into the area’s geology, geography, and history, highlighting the glacier’s intriguing, ever-changing features. The glacier’s surface and color transform with the seasons, and formations like moulins and crevasses are in constant flux. No previous glacier experience is required—just a sense of curiosity and adventure!
