Arrival in Paradise

As soon as my wife and I touched down at Liberia Airport, we were greeted by the warm, tropical air that I’ve come to love in Central America. Our driver was waiting for us, holding a sign with our names on it, a comforting sight after a long flight. We were whisked away in a modern mini-bus, fully equipped with air conditioning and plenty of space for our surfboards and luggage. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out local landmarks and offering to stop for photos or snacks along the way. It was the perfect start to our adventure at the Westin Resort - Reserva Conchal.

The drive to Playa Conchal was a scenic journey through lush landscapes and vibrant towns. I couldn’t help but feel the excitement building as we approached the coast, the promise of perfect waves and sun-soaked days ahead. We even took a trip to the nearby waterfalls and went ziplining through the lush canopy, thanks to the coordination of Erik G, a local guide who came highly recommended.

It was a joy to share stories and experiences with fellow travelers, all of us embracing the Pura Vida lifestyle that Costa Rica is famous for.

As our trip came to an end, we were already planning our return. The Westin Resort - Reserva Conchal had captured our hearts, and we couldn’t wait to come back.
