- Summerland Sweets - After meeting up and getting our cameras ready, we head out to the KVR trail and walk over one of the highest trestle bridges in the area. We quickly get off the main trail to explore the side trails that open up new and amazing views of Trout Creek. We follow the path to head up to a summit where we may experience wild horses and other wildlife and views of the valley that only a handful of people experience. On our return, we take a different route to experience the area and learn about wildlife signs. Our adventure ends back at Summerland Sweets where we can share our photos and reflect on the experience with a glass of wine or an ice cream cone.

Heiking is a 4-hour guided hike in the mountains of Summerland to see the area from a local’s point of view. It is an opportunity to hike with a professional photographer/educator to learn more about the craft of photography and how to read the signs that nature presents us. The group size is kept to 1-4 people to minimize our impact and increase the chance of wildlife sightings.
Heiking is designed for individuals or groups that want something different than the usual tourist locations. They are looking for adventure and to bring home different photographs and an experience that they can share. It is also for locals who want to explore, but due to the environment, it is not best to do it alone. Spend some time exploring deeper into the mountains of the area.
We are in Bear country, so bear spray is highly recommended. There are always risks when heading into the mountains, so an initial discussion will be had to go over any fitness issues. There are trails for all abilities.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
