Karate is deeply rooted in Japanese culture and traditions. By practicing karate, you not only learn the physical techniques but also immerse yourself in Japanese values, etiquette, and philosophy.
- 3-chōme-10-4 Yokokawa - Greetings and Introduction (5 minutes): We will start by explaining Japanese greetings and dojo etiquette, introducing basic karate movements like stances and hand-foot techniques.
Warm-up (10 minutes): Engage in stretching exercises and light aerobic movements to warm up the body and prepare for training.
Practice Basic Techniques (15 minutes): Guide participants through fundamental movements such as forward/backward steps, basic punches, and kicks, allowing them to practice and refine their techniques.
Introduction to Kata (15 minutes): Choose one kata (form) and explain its movements and significance while encouraging participants to practice it.
Partner Practice (15 minutes): Pair up participants to practice basic techniques and a section of the kata in a cooperative and engaging manner.
Cool-down and Stretching (10 minutes): Cool down the body and perform stretching exercises to improve flexibility and prevent muscle soreness.
Q&A and Feedback (5 minutes): Provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share feedback, and discuss their experiences.
