Enjoy the untouched splendor during a half-day journey to the Briksdal Glacier. Beginning in Olden, take a bus ride through the valley, observing the ‘small red church,’ the Lake of Olden, vibrant farms and many cascades. Upon arrival at the Briksdal Inn, a stunning pathway encompassed by waterfalls and mountains guides you to the glacier lake viewpoint where you can take in the splendid natural wonder. Glaciers can also be explored in a ‘troll car’ available for rent if walking isn’t preferred or possible.
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- We advise all our guests to wear appropriate shoes and clothing
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs
- Terrain/surface are quite uneven for wheelchair access
- Contact us before booking if wheelchair ramp is needed!

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, bright yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Excellent tour and sites are amazing, great experience - Views amazing and Glacier well worth visiting. Recommend if you have any movement issues to book the troll cars as the walk is quite steep and long to the glacier. In our group of 9 we had some minor mobility issues and an asthmatic, so the troll cars made it accessible for our group.

Stunning tour - Do not miss the glacier tour whilst exploring the Norwegian Fjords! The scenery in the area is breathtaking at every turn . We are so glad we didn’t miss our opportunity to see the glacier and explore these magnificent mountains

Briksdal Glacier really is AMAZING!! - The Briksdal Glacier really is AMAZING!! So glad we booked this excursion with Norway Excursions AS, via Viator, prior to our cruise ship (Sky Princess) stopped in Olden, because it sells out FAST! The staff was VERY helpful when asking questions, via email, about the tour timeline, because I wanted to book the Troll Car to take us up the mountain since my husband and I both have knee problems. The troll car is booked directly with Briksdal Glacier (Briksdal.com) and you must request your preferred reservation time.
All in all, it was a Wonderful day and Very reasonably priced!

Trip to glacier from Stunning Olden - This trip was amazing, stunning scenery, a great walk up to the glacier, exceeded all expectations, beautiful sunny day, great cafe available which didn’t seem busy despite lots of people being there.
Our guide Yanna ( sorry not sure of spelling) was great, very informative and ensured we kept to the schedule.

Wonderful Excusion in Olden - We had a great experience with this tour. The scenic along the way to the Glacier Park is amazing. Our tour guide Syvia is very professional, knowledgeable and provided us a lot of information during the bus ride about Norway and Olden. The hike to the Glacier lake is not too strenuous but if you would like to spend more time in the lake, I would recommend to take the troll car one way and hike down. Strongly recommend to book this excursion early as it is very popular.

Definitely use Viator again - Well what can I say except what an amazing experience me and my 17 year old daughter had with Viator.got straight on the bus from the ship.the tour had a load of really interesting information.also had plenty of time to track up the glacier and take a lot of pictures.even had time to look around the gift shop.everything from booking a month in advance to the day we went on our adventure was so easy and they kept me updated all the way..so all in all I would recommend Viator to anyone who is looking for a tour guide.definitely a 5 star company

Fabulous company. Stunning tour - This tour was breathtaking!!!!!
Definitely the highlight of our cruise. Well organised , with a very knowledgeable guide.
I must highlight the first class customer service . Our son left his jacket on the bus , and this fantastic company responded to my email within hours and returned the jacket to the ship at the next port!!!
This was over and beyond their duties given the very clear instructions at the end of the trip to check you have your belongings.

Honest review - While the tour and views are fine, our tour guide has put her parents and friends all in the the front roll seats. Her parents and friends were the very last one to board the bus and kept everyone waiting. She also asked the bus to move away and did not noticed one family is still not on the bus. She was reminded of this missing by one of our tourists on the bus and had to go back and look for this family.
