Highlights
  • Dalarö Kajak - We’ll meet at 09.00 at the office south of Stockholm before driving together to Dalarö, a charming little village, from where we’ll begin paddling with our kayak . On the way it’ll come to your notice, one of those magnificent little wooden red houses, discreetly placed among the pines.

We’ll explore different islands by kayak all along the day. Our kayak tour will be granted by a filling meal that we will share on one of the deserted islands. There, we’ll take time to rest, with only companion the swell of the Baltic and the singing birds. In the end of the afternoon, we will paddle towards Dalarö our starting point. We’ll go around other islands and get the opportunity to see other fantastic things from this part of the archipelago that is probably one of the nicest and wildest. It’d be magic to see a sea eagle circling around the islands, looking for the ideal prey. Maybe one of those numerous migratory birds like different types of goose or this famous great cormorant flying over the horizon on the direction to the north.

Additional Information

Total escape from the city

Just a 45-minute journey from Stockholm can transport you, along with your family, your significant other, or a group of friends, to a serene haven for a day!

The Stockholm archipelago presents an idyllic and calming refuge due to its distinctive landscape that paints its unique identity. This archipelago consists of around 30,000 islands nestled in the peaceful waters of the Baltic sea. Originally, these were resting spots for farmers and fishermen, or trading outposts during the Viking era. The islands, often unoccupied, are clusters of rocks and trees, appearing as domes rising above the water surface, contributing to the region’s one-of-a-kind character.

Embodying an essential disconnect from urban life and everything else, this natural labyrinth offers a refreshing contrast for anyone choosing to visit Sweden for an extended weekend or a few days, for example. Embark on an adventure that will provide an alternate perspective of Sweden.

Kayak Adventure - While we loved being in the city, we wanted to venture out into the wilderness of Sweden and we did just that! Our guide Daniel was super knowledgeable and we enjoyed his humor! There was only one other person that did the tour besides my husband and I, so we did double kayaks and I’m so glad we did. It was nice to be in a small group for this trip. It was a windy, but beautiful day. The paddle was a bit of a challenge due to the wind, but the scenery and adventure was enjoyable and super worth the trip!!

Superb experience from start to finish - What a treat of a day! Being out on the water amongst nature was very special and the scenery was stunning. We were lucky with incredible weather so the sea was as flat and calm as you could wish. The sun was shining and we had an absolute blast. We were paddling for a lot of time (about 2.5-3hrs of the entire day) and some of it right out in open water - Malin, our guide was brilliant, but it’s not for the faint hearted. It does require a certain amount of stamina and strength. Kayaks were excellent quality and lunch cooked over a fire in the island was tasty. Bring insect spray! The island was humming with mozzies.

Beautiful spring day on the water - Absolutely lovely day on the water, blessed by perfect Spring weather, good companionship from other members and a great guide, Lucas. Loved the stop on the island for lunch and a chance to look at the plants and evidence of wildlife. Lucas took great care of us, particularly watching out for the risks from the larger ferries and boats on the water, and also was very informative on wild birds and plants as well as generally being very open and friendly. I would definitely do this trip again! Really easy to communicate with True Nature re availability of the trip beforehand - thanks guys!

Great day outdoors in Sweden on the Baltic Sea - Just a great day to spend with family outdoors and get some exercise — loved being on the water too! Complete return kayak trip was about 10kms. Only thing I would have changed is possibly less time at the lunch stop. We were ready to move on and day dragged slightly there. But overall great way to spend the day!
