A perfect day - The staff was super sweet and helpful, they helped me launch and land the SUP, had all the equipment I needed for the paddle, and even gave me a map of the area. I had so much fun exploring the water and mangrove tunnels, and the views were gorgeous!

Wonderfool Time! - We had an excellent time. I went with my wife who had never paddle boarded before and is very afraid of water activities. It was pretty much at your own pace and how long & how far you want to go, She never did make it standing on the paddle board, but she still had a great time. The current and wind made the paddle back to the docks a bit of work, but we got there safe and sound. Excellent adventure. I would recommend to anyone looking to do something off the beaten path.

Glad We Chose Lazy Dog - Happy we chose Lazy Dog. They were welcoming, efficient and professional. The mango journey outlined for us was challenging but appropriate for beginners....

Great first time Paddleboard adventure! - As first timers, we signed up for the 2-hr. rental and not the guided tour, so we might not be able to complete a 2-hour guided tour. (We could always give up if we failed miserably, if we were just on our own.) We got an informative and useful instructional briefing, and we were off. We all started out kneeling to get a feel for the board. We all tried to stand up. I was very wobbly (have the least ability to balance on one foot) It was a bit awkward and occasionally difficult to steer. We paddled away from the dock and into a larger channel. By watching others, I learned to keep my feet wider on the board and that gave me better balance. One of group figured out that only drawing the paddle back to where your feet are, removed some of the extra turning that I was getting. The paddleboard became easier to steer and my balance (and comfort standing) improved. We took a narrow channel into a mangrove swamp. I found I was too tall (6'3") and not skilled enough to turn quickly to easily navigate the mangrove swamp. I was glad when we left that! Paddled around in the larger calm bays and in the main channel for a while. My back did get tired (a symptom of poorer technique) but I was too stubborn to sit or kneel (plus I knew I'd have to stand back up). I saw 2 sharks, (6' and 4') and numerous fish. I stood up almost the entire time! On the way back in, in a protected calm cove, I got too close to a mango tree and started to lose my balance. I knew that I was going over, but did so in slow motion! Due to the excellent briefing, I had no trouble getting back on the board and standing up for the last 100' to the dock! (Someone had to fall in, my money was on my wife, so I lost that bet. But falling in, actually made it more fun! The women both enjoyed paddleboarding more than Kayaking. I still like Kayaking a bit better. We all had fun and would do it again. I think we could have done the 2 -hour tour, but I would not have enjoyed it if we were holding up a group of more experienced paddlers.

First Time - Really enjoyed paddle boarding for the first time and we were lucky enough to see a group of nurse sharks a little ways out. Staff is super friendly. There’s a restaurant next door for some bites before/after.

Great time and plenty to see! - Excellent easy experience and we had a great time. Staff was super helpful and friendly which made it even better. We are experienced paddlers and make boards as well so knew what to do and expect. It was just my wife and I and they outfitted us with paddles and boards and we were off! If you need a lesson then schedule that as this is not a lesson type tour. They will ask you if you have paddled before etc so be honest so you get the best experience. Great time and will do it again next time we are in the Key West area. Thanks to the women who were working that day as they were experienced and super helpful!

Activity didn’t live up to Expectations - So having never been paddle boarding, I expected a more lengthy “lesson” where the teacher/ trainer actually got in the water and instructed me. It was a brief 5 minute on dock lesson, primarily on how to paddle. When booking, I thought I was to be part of a tour. Since I was a party of 1, I was all alone which did cause some anxiety. I did wear a life vest and got onto it fairly quickly but did fall in once due to the board hitting an underwater rock. Pretty scary since I was out there alone AND I lost my hat (not the fault of Lazy Day, I know). I would only do paddle boarding again if there was a guide. Please change the description of the activity.
