Hop On Hop Off - best way to get an overview of any place. - Great way to get an overview of a place. Commentary was informative. Buses were totally on schedule so very reliable.

Good price for the tour! - Nice clean bus. Audio tour was good. But boarding was chaos. They need to have clear lines, especially for people with disabilities.

Only worth it for swords in the rock - I would only recommend taking this bus if you want to see the swords in the rock, since everything else of Interest is close together in the town. And if you have a larger group, it would probably be cheaper to get a cab out to swords in the rock.

The audio did not work,... - The audio did not work, the driver was not very informative and we did not know what stops were what. Seemed very unorganized.

Stay OFF This Hop On... - What could have been interesting and informative experience was dampened by poor technologies and lack of enthusiasm by driver. Of the 13 stops, a handful were actually announced, some were skipped. Stavanger is a beautiful area, but feel this hop on was definitely more OFF.

Don’t waste your money- this is no way to see Stavanger - Absolutely disappointed we wasted time on this tour. Two different bus operators with similar painted buses run side by side to the detriment of customers who watch bussed fly by them or are turned away and get to wait endlessly. And they could not care less. Save yourselves. Flighting right now to get our money back. First time trying hop on hop off. Will never try again.

Do not do this - Book this as an excursion from Holland America. Right now I’m trying to get my money back. It was so bad. The buses are overcrowded the audio systems don’t work and there’s another bus company that is painted the exact same red with almost the same lettering. So you stop at one bus stop get off think you’re gonna get picked up by another bus but it drives right by you so you don’t hop on and hop off you hop off you wait 45 minutes for another bus to come get you, but then it’s crowded and overflowing with people many of them who have mobility issues on a bus with stairs. I would not recommend this to anyone for any reason at any price. You can see from the photos there’s really no way to distinguish which buses which company.

Terrible Operator, Old Equipment, Crappy Service - Hopped in the bus off a cruise ship and the seats were wet on the second tier. Okay fine, went to the lower level and in all the seats only one of the Audio Units worked so there was no commentary. The bus was old, ill prepared, had no audio and the response was “let the cruise company know”. We walked off at the second stop and cabbed back to the ship.

Disappointing Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Experience Overcrowded, Unreliable, and Unnecessary - Our experience with the hop-on hop-off bus in Stavanger was incredibly frustrating. The buses were severely overcrowded and clearly oversold. We waited 30 minutes just to board, only to discover the audio commentary wasn’t working. We had to return to the port and wait yet again for another bus. When we explained the situation to a young staff member, we were told there was nothing she could do and we’d just have to queue again. The entire operation was disorganized and poorly managed. To make matters worse, our cruise ship had handed out free passes for the bus, which seemed to cause most of the congestion and delays. In hindsight, there’s absolutely no need to use the hop-on hop-off bus here. Stavanger is a very walkable town, and exploring it on foot would have been far more enjoyable and efficient.
