Additional Information

This journey will lead you to one of Norway’s most renowned and breathtaking hikes. The hike’s popularity among Norway’s visitors and locals is well-deserved. Located just a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock - or Preikestolen in Norwegian - is a formidable cliff plateau hanging directly over Lysefjorden. The adrenaline rush of standing (or sitting) near the brink is often the high point for hikers, though it’s certainly not easy. The summit provides unblocked views of the winding blue fjord, created by glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it an ideal site for taking photographs or enjoying a light refreshment.

Great experience - We had an amazing tour. The trek is a little challenging but worth it when you get to the top, although it was a little cloudy for us! The guide was friendly and informative and told us about Norwegian traditions which I enjoyed.

Greate experience and interaction - The experience was great. Since the beginner our guide was kind letting us store our package in the van as we have to check out that day. We had the time to admire the nature and take photos. We got an explanation about the ecosystem and customs in Norway. At the end, our guide left us in our new hotel. We are super grateful for that!!

Lovely - Lovely hike with our guide Paul. He told us about the surrounding nature and offered to take pictures for us at the top, also gave us plenty of time at the parking area to get coffee afterwards so we were not rushed. A fantastic experience.
