With a 1-day City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus ticket, you can explore the stunning city of Stavanger at your own leisure! Passengers can hop-on and hop-off at any of the 11 tour stops along the route or stay on the bus for the full loop which takes 50 minutes. Enjoy access to Stavangers biggest sights with our conveniently located tour stops, including Stavanger Cathedral, Petroleum Museum, Ledaal Royal Residence and many others! As you travel through the city, passengers will enjoy 360-degree views from our double-decker open-top buses, plus access to a fantastic, multilingual commentary.
- Please be aware that this tour only operates when there is a cruise ship in port (June - September). Refer to the calendar to check availability.

Brilliant way for an introduction to Stavanger - A brilliant way to see Stavanger and to decide where you want to get off and explore. You get a 24 hour ticket which is good for the bus and a boat trip. There are 12 stops and free onboard WiFi.
I like the fact that you can download a QR to find out the nearest stops and when the bus is due.
Our stops were, Old Stavanger, Cathedral, Cathedral, Petro Museum, Skansekaien, Ovre Holmegata, Petri Church, Archaeology Museum, Stavanger Museum, Mosvatnet Park, Art Museum, Royal Residence.

Save your money and walk! - Took this bus tour as part of an on-shore experience with P&O cruises. When disembarking there are people with red jackets trying to sell tickets. We paid £122 for 3 adults and a 15 year old. The bus took us around the area in about an hour, and pointed out the "interesting" parts. It was NOT worth the money and I wouldn't bother the next time. We stood in a very long queue, in the rain, to see not very much. Save your money and walk!

Good service and easy booking - We booked this in advance prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. Booking was simple and it was easy to get tickets on the day.
It wasn't obvious when you left the terminal where to go, but if you followed the crowd it was simple to find.
The tour itself was good, it took me a while to sort out the sound but eventually got it working.
It's not the most exciting commentary, but it was clear, not sure it was in sync with the route too well but it was good to see the areas of the city that would have taken longer to get to. We didn't use the hop on hop off function as a lot of the attactions where quite close by but it was nice to see the residential areas and the park at the top end of Stavanger.
I would recommend if you were staying for a while but we only had limited time so not sure it was worth the full cost.

One of the less interesting city HOHO routes - Considering the high cost of this hop on hop off bus, it is definitely not good value. Although it calls at some interesting museums, there is little of interest to see on the route itself. If you are going to one of the museums probably easier (and possibly cheaper) just to get a taxi.

Disappointed - Most of the places were shut so we could not hop on and off. Very crowded experience, not worth the money we paid, museums was closed and palace

Nor recommended! - This didn't even deserve a one star!
We were told we would stop at the best sights in Olden. It cost 900 NOK (£67) for 2 of us. We went upstairs, it wasn't open top, a cover was over us. There was an audio commentary but it was breaking up so we couldn't hear. We droe up through the city and the driver didn't stop at all. We passed what might have been the cathedral, covered in green plastic. We then got driven back to the ship. Under an hour and nothing to see!!!!???? What a rip off.
Please do not pay for this bus into town which was 100 times more expensive than we would pay in UK, and we have bus stops here too. I can't ash photos, we didn't stop in order to take any. Everyone was complaining.
In comparison, we did a hop on hop off in Olden and we stopped at the rapids on the river and alongside a lake , with enough time to get out and walk around and take photos. We also had a very clear commentary playing out through the coach telling us the history of the area and many interesting facts. That trip was 1 hour long. We would not hesitate to recommend this trip. It cost £58 for 2 of us

A very disappointing tour - We arrived in Stavanger off the Iona and had not pre-booked anything. After walking around for a while we were stopped by one of the people selling tickets for the hop on hop off tour and was told we'd be driven round all the best sight seeing places so we brought tickets at 450 NOK each which is about £33 each. We were supplied with head phones for the audio tour and the got on. The audio was not very clear at all and very hard to hear. All the "all the sightseeing spots were in walking distance of the dock but one" there was nothing to see at all and even if there was we were going to fast to take any photos or to even look. Left Stavanger feeling very disappointed with our visit and very upset we wasted our money.

Hop on, stay on. A 45 minute tour. - Because enough people didn’t book or come to tour, it ended up we only got to go around once. No hop on, hop off and 10-4 to get lots done!! Cost us more than $1/minute. Very disappointed!!

Rip off - Poor service. Expensive. Waste of money. Headphones didn’t work. Buses were old rattle boxes. Did one loop and couldn’t wait to get off. Save your money and have a walk around and buy yourself a nice lunch.

Waste of money - Save your money and just stroll. Recorded tour is illegible as the tech is ancient and doesn’t even fit the headphones. Nothing more than crackly garbage. Absolute waste of money and really expensive for what it is. Really, don’t waste your money. Just stroll around the town. It’s all there,
