Additional Information

Begin this journey with a pick-up service from your accommodation, driving off to Boulevard Olímpico, also known as Porto Maravilha; this is Rio de Janeiro’s thoroughly revamped harbor area, home to the city’s cutting-edge tourist destinations.

Pay a visit to the forward-thinking Museum of Tomorrow, an establishment devoted to applied science that actively explores and contemplates the planet and humanity’s future prospects. Admire and capture the museum’s uniquely futuristic architecture - one of Brazil’s most popular, frequented museum spaces.

Afterward, pause for a photo opportunity at the Kobra Mural, a monumental graffiti artwork by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra, and one of the world’s largest. This vibrant masterpiece features five distinct ethnic groups set against a multihued keynote with geometric patterns.

The final stop is at AquaRio, South America’s premier marine aquarium. Here, over 5,000 animals from an approximated 350 species across the globe can be observed in 28 seawater enclosures. Plus, you will have the opportunity for up-close encounters and interaction with them.

Such a great day - Carla is the best 10/10 - Carla took us around the aquarium and museum of tomorrow. What an amazing lady and character she is. So much energy and spunk and made the day interactive and so much fun. She answered any questions we had and was very attentive. We took a walk from the aquarium to the museum and got to see amazing murals along the way - she allowed us to stop and take many pictures and even took pictures for us. Would recommend her for all tours as she is amazing.

Could be better - Not enough time to fully enjoy venue at your leisure since the entrance line is long in the summer. I recommend coming here on your own using Uber or a taxi if you want to take your time, rest in between, eat snacks and shop the gift shop. This is for families and children, single adults traveling alone with little interest in marine life shouldn’t attend.

Not my favorite - Very chaotic environment. So over crowded! Hard to view small aquarium windows. I would avoid weekend visits

We pay a lot of money just to go to the aquarium - First of all, agent told me the charges were in Brazil currency, R$490. However, isn’t card was charged in dollars. Also, the tickets to the museum were sold on the day the museum entrance is free! Our tour guy said the museum was closed that is why he couldn’t take us there but it was a lie!
