Nice morning - Lovely morning drive out the city and through the forests. Guide was friendly, there isn't much walking involved it is mostly about the jeep just as a heads up

Excellent use of precious time in Rio - Our guide, Paulo, was highly knowledgeable, and our driver expert. The forest gives one an entirely different experience of Rio from the beaches. We'll definitely take friends with us the next time we visit the city!

a drive and walk in the forest Tijuca National Park - the driver arrived on time, the Guide spoke good english, was helpful, sat in the back as we spent 1/2 hours touring the city picking up people, he broke the ice and got us all chatting it was an tour in English. It was a 12 seater we all had seat belts, he answered questions on the way, got ot and walked with us. history and culture of the parks, we did not see many Animals, but he kept us away from the other groups, I understand there are about 50 "jeep tours"a day. we were mostly just our group, you got a chance to swim, or climb the mountain to the cave. it stated to rain at the end of the triop so we stopped and he put the cover on. its a open back with no roof so you get to see the forest, feel the humidity, but once you are moving its comfotable, its all roads, so you dont require a 4wd, but it was fun, I think its a "must do" if its not raining Gabriel is a good english speaker and guide, I would be happy to do another trip with him

Great guide but tour itself is okay - The jeep itself was cool but the tour itself is literarily walking around the jungle with no animals to be spotted (unless you count six new mosquitoes bites I collected during the tour as encountered with animals). The tour guide, Andrea was great so five stars for Andrea. Other than that, if you book the tour thinking you’d see exotic animals, you’ll be disappointed

Better to explore Tijuca yourself! - You’re crammed into an open air jeep for a long drive. Once you arrive in Tijuca, the tour feels rushed. There were many things to do and see in Tijuca, routes to hike which our group was prepared for, but our trip host said he didn’t have time which was unacceptable to me. We got all of these explanations about trees, never went far enough in or towards the routes where we could see animals. Just disappointing overall. Also, you spend so much time with your back to the sun that my friend and I got sunburnt wherever possible, despite having on sunscreen. One guide hardly spoke, he just drove. Nice guys, pretty forest, but wouldn’t recommend this tour. You can hike it yourself and have a better time.
