Get acquainted with the owner, Mr. C.F. Hamblen and observe the amiable staff, meat seller and patent medicine merchant showcase the most recent innovations for turn of the century lifestyle at St. Augustine’s most antique shop-turned-museum Experience.
Provisions for maintaining social distance are implemented. Wearing of masks is optional yet recommended.

Going back in time. - We toured the store with Orville. He was a great guide and added humour to the experience. He stayed in character and we were back in 1908. So many artifacts if the time. Such fun. Highly recommend this museum.

Well done - This was so cool, and very well done. The history and artifacts were so interesting. The store keeper played the part very well and hung around after the tour to answer our questions, tell us some storyies and point out a few more things.

Surprisingly good! - This is a late review … we visited the week of Thanksgiving 2023.
We weren’t too interested in doing this but it turned out to be surprisingly good. We had a great guide, can’t remember her name but she had an awesome Irish accent, which I think was real! She was full of interesting facts and information and was so funny! It wasn’t super long, just enough to educate you, in a fun way. Fun tour!

Great tour led by Orville at Oldest Store Museum in St. Augustine. - Really interesting and humorous tour led by Orville of this fascinating general store, frozen in time at 1908. Very enjoyable and educational. Highly recommend it!

Unexpected delight - Our guide, "Orville", was amazing!!! He was so knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. The store itself is fantastic and so interesting!! I highly recommend this tour!! We all raved about it and would so do it again!

An incredibly remarkable collection of early 20th century items that would appear in a general store - This really is an incredible place, quite different than what you might expect. They have an amazing collection of turn of the century products, machines, conveniences, that would have sold in this very store at the turn of the 19th to 20th century.. It's Florida's oldest store, maybe even America's oldest store, and it's presented just as it would have been in 1908. You are actually given a guided tour of the inventory (obviously not all 100,000 pieces!) by a very effective and talented actor who poses as a store clerk from 1908. Never seen such a diverse and robust collection as this. Keep this high on your list of places to visit in Saint Augustine.

Amazing experience at the oldest shop museum - We went today on November 26th Uncle Vince did an amazing job giving the tour and explaining about all the things in the museum very interactive and polite 10/10 experience everyone should go check out this attraction:)
