- Shankaracharya Hill - Begin your day with a morning pickup from your hotel and a drive to the summit of Shankaracharya Hill, situated in the Zabarwan mountains. This hill provides a breathtaking view from the highest point in Srinagar. Atop the hill stands a temple dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, dating back to the 2nd century B.C. It is now named after the sage, Adi Shankara, who achieved enlightenment here in 750 A.D.
- Mughal Gardens - Proceed to the splendid Mughal Gardens, which offer a view of the Dal Lake. These gardens are part of a series of intricate gardens established by Mughal Emperors over the years. With their distinctive terraces and central fountain channels, these gardens are often described as being as close to paradise as possible. Explore all three Mughal Gardens - Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Gardens, and Chashmashahi Garden.
Following the garden visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense).
Post-lunch, visit a Carpet Weaving Center, followed by a trip to a Lacquer Center.
- Jama Masjid Mosque - Continue your journey to the historic part of Srinagar to visit the 14th-century Jama Masjid mosque. This mosque features a unique exterior that reflects the Indo-Saracenic architectural style. This expansive brick and wood mosque can host 30,000 people in its central hall and an additional 70,000 in the outer corridors. It boasts an impressive array of 370 wooden columns, each carved from a single cedar tree trunk.
Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the local bazaar and spice market, where you can experience the vibrant sights and aromas of shops filled with colorful spices.
At the conclusion of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel.
