Nishat Garden - Nishat Bagh is a 12-terraced garden situated near the renowned Dal Lake in Srinagar. It is the second-largest Mughal garden in Kashmir, following Shalimar Bagh. Often referred to as the “Garden of Bliss,” it features a magnificent Mughal central water channel with numerous fountains, surrounded by towering Chinar trees.
Shalimar Bagh (Shalimar Gardens) - Shalimar Bagh is famous for its chini khanas, or arched niches, located behind the garden’s waterfalls. These niches, a distinctive feature of the Bagh, were illuminated at night with oil lamps, creating a magical appearance for the waterfalls.
Nishat Garden - Known as the “Garden of Bliss,” Nishat Gardens are set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Mountains. Nishat Bagh in Kashmir, India, provides a breathtaking view of Dal Lake and the snow-capped Pir Panjal mountain range. The garden’s terraces each symbolize a different Zodiac sign.
Pahalgam
Avantiswami Temple - Before becoming king, Avantivarman constructed a Hindu temple in Awantipora dedicated to Vishnu, named “Avantisvamin.” During his reign, he built another Hindu temple in Awantipora called “Avantisvara,” dedicated to Shiva. Both temples are set in spacious rectangular paved courtyards.
Betab Valley - Betab Valley gained fame after the 1983 film “Betaab,” starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh, was filmed there. Consequently, the valley was named after the successful movie. The valley is located on the route to the famous Amarnath temple yatra and is one of the three breathtaking valleys of Pahalgam, alongside Chandanwadi and Aru.
