King Walagamba transformed the caves into a temple complex in the 1st century. The site features around 153 Buddha statues and murals covering 2100 square meters. Allocate about one and a half hours to explore the entire complex.
Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - Continue to Sigiriya. In the evening, visit the eighth wonder of the world, featuring massive walls, water canals, guard rooms, natural stone arches, mirror stone, and the famous Sigiri paintings.
