Kandy - Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, guests will be warmly greeted by our representatives. En route to Kandy, visitors will discover that Kandy is a prominent city in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. It served as the final capital during the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. Nestled amidst hills on the Kandy plateau, the city is surrounded by tropical plantations, primarily tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious hub and serves as the capital of the Central Province. It is home to The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most revered Buddhist worship sites globally, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988.
Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is situated within the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy and houses the Buddha’s tooth relic.

KANDY CITY TOUR
Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue - The Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue is located on a hill just 2 km from the Temple of the Tooth Relic. This beautifully crafted white Buddha statue, built in 1972, stands at 88 feet and is one of the largest Buddha statues in Sri Lanka. A Buddhist temple accompanies the statue on Bahirawa Kanda hill, offering panoramic views of Kandy city, the nearby mountain range, and the Bogambara prison. Devotees can worship at the temple.
Kandy View Point - Kandy City View Point offers a stunning view of Kandy city, overlooking Kandy Lake with the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the background. It is an ideal spot for sunrise or sunset, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the city surrounded by mountains. It is a popular photography location. Situated on Rajapihilla Mawatha, it is also known as Arthur’s Seat and is considered the highest point in Kandy, standing 550 meters above sea level.
Royal Botanical Gardens - The Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya are located about 5.5 km west of Kandy city in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. In 2016, the gardens attracted 1.2 million local and 400,000 international visitors. They are near the Mahaweli River and are renowned for their orchid collection.
Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - In the evening, guests will enjoy The Kandy Lake Club Cultural Dance Show, a vibrant showcase of Sri Lankan arts, dance, and cultural heritage. Established in 1982, it was the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, bringing together various Sri Lankan dance styles on one platform. It has become a major tourist attraction, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage and has been performed continuously for over 35 years.

KANDY - SIGIRIYA
Sri Muthumariamman Temple - After breakfast, the journey continues to Sigiriya. Along the way, visitors will explore the Hindu Temple, Matale Aluvihare, and Dambulla Cave Temple. Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility.
Muthumariamman Temple, or Arulmigu Sri Muthumari Amman Kovil, is a Hindu temple in Matale, Sri Lanka. “Muthu” means “pearl,” “Mari” means rain, and “Amman” means mother in Tamil. The temple is dedicated to Mariamman, the goddess of rain and fertility.
Aluvihara Rock Cave Temple - Aluvihare is a suburb of Matale in Sri Lanka’s Central Province, located 3.5 km north of Matale and 150 km northeast of Colombo. Situated on the Kandy-Jaffna highway, it was founded by King Devanampiyatissa around 300 B.C. but was named Aluvihare later.
Ranweli Spice Garden - Ranweli Spice Garden is located in Kawudupelella, Matale. The garden features numerous herbs and plants with medicinal properties. It is an excellent place to learn about and experience Sri Lankan spices.
Getting to Ranweli Spice Garden: From Matale, travel approximately 13.7 km along Kandy Road to reach Ranweli Spice Garden in Kawudupelella.
Golden Temple of Dambulla - The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, located in the central part of the country.
Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress - In the evening, visitors will explore Sigiriya, or Sinhagiri, an ancient rock fortress in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. The site is of historical and archaeological significance, dominated by a massive rock column nearly 200 meters high.

SIGIRIYA - POLONNARUWA
Ancient City of Polonnaruwa - After breakfast, the journey continues to Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is the second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa is one of the best-planned archaeological relic cities in the country, showcasing the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom’s early rulers. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Nissanka Latha Mandapaya - Nissanka Latha Mandapaya is a square building with a finely crafted rock-cut railing surrounding the Dalada Maluwa area of ancient Polonnaruwa. Built by King Nissanka Malla (1187-1196), the building’s most notable feature is the shape and carvings of the stone pillars, which resemble lotus stems and are curved in three places. The top of the pillars resembles a lotus flower, and a small stupa is at the center. The entire building is encircled by a stone fence.
Sathmahal Prasada - This pyramid-shaped, seven-story building, known as Sathmahal Prasadaya, is believed to be an unusually shaped stupa from the Polonnaruwa Period (11th -13th century).
Minneriya National Park - In the evening, guests will embark on a safari at Minneriya National Park, a renowned wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, near Polonnaruwa. It is famous for “The Gathering,” a remarkable natural event where large herds of wild elephants congregate during the dry season (July to October) around the Minneriya Tank, an ancient irrigation reservoir built by King Mahasen.
ANURADHAPURA
Mihintale - After breakfast, the journey continues to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Mihintale is a mountain peak near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa, marking the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka.
Dagoba of Thuparama - Thuparamaya is the first Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. Located in the sacred area of Mahamewna Park, the Thuparamaya Stupa is the earliest Dagoba constructed on the island, dating back to King Devanampiya Tissa’s reign.
Lovamahapaya Brazen Palace - Lovamahapaya, also known as the Brazen Palace or Lohaprasadaya, is situated between Ruwanweliseya and Sri Mahabodiya in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. The building’s roof was covered with bronze tiles, and it historically included the refectory and the uposathagara.
Ruwanwelisaya - The Ruwanwelisaya is a stupa and hemispherical structure containing relics in Sri Lanka, considered sacred by Buddhists worldwide. It enshrines two quarts or one Drona of the Gautama Buddha’s relics, the largest collection of his relics anywhere.
