Walking through Skopelos. - A very interesting tour of Skopelos town, with Regina, she was an extremely knowledgeable, engaging and enthusiastic guide. She took us through the old town relaying the history of the island and pointing out the various architectural influences on the island throughout the ages. We also visited the Badalus Micro-shipbuilding exhibition, this is not model ships this is real ships built in miniature. From Ancient Greek Trireme to HMS Bounty and everything in between it was extraordinary. We then visited a local Taverna where we sampled local dishes, all delicious, and the local wines. Out of these my personal favourites were the Greek salad and the Rose wine, although the Skopelos cheese pie does rate a mention as a close contender. All in all an excellent experience with a friendly and engaging guide and a good group of people. Highly recommended.
