It was established by one of the Roman emperors himself who settled here to live in one of the most luxurious retirement palace that the world has ever seen.

Meeting point is at Strossmayerova Fountain inside of Strossmayer park (Đardin), just above Golden Gates.
When near Golden Gates you will see a huge statue of Gregory of Nin, and just above him is the park where we meet in the middle, next to fountain.

Great start to Split... - Mijo was a very pleasant, accommodating, and knowledgeable guide. We could not get to our hotel in time to drop off our bags so we went directly to the tour and he carried my wife's bag the whole tour. He suggested places to eat, etc.. The tour included a tour inside the palace as well as outside the palace in Old Town.

Easy listening with Vegolas walking tour of Split - Really enjoyed our walking tour with Mijo at Vegolas tours.
Mijo was easy to listen to, had interesting current and historic knowledge of of old town Split and had our group's attention throughout the tour. He was thoughtful of other groups and activities but nonetheless used the information boards etc to enhance the tour. He also provided some useful local tips.

Tour of Diocletians Palace, Split - We had a great tour with Mijo who was very informative and funny. We really enjoyed Mijo showing us around.

Mijo is the BEST! - Mijo was AMAZING! Great sense of humor. Very friendly. We enjoyed our tour immensely. Ditch the large groups. His tour is a small group and he is awesome. I would highly recommend. He even emails you a list of recommendations at the end of the tour.

Milo tour 18/9 - I had the best time Milo was an awesome guide. Also met a lady on the tour and we spent the day looking around and checking out Milo's recommendations - great Gelato

Awesome Tour! - Our guide, Mijo, was awesome! He met us just north of town and led us on a detailed tour through the city and finished by the harbor. We chose the early tour (8AM) and we practically had the city to ourselves. The group was small so he was easy to hear and follow and ask questions. Mijo was funny and engaging and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour with Mijo - Mijo was a great independant guide. A native of Split, running small group tours (no more than 10) Mijo was fun, knowledgeable and full of tips for negotiating Split today as well as historical information. The small group also meant that we could easily chat and ask questions as we toured. Highly recommended.

Independent tour around... - Independent tour around Split, Milo is very knowledgeable about the area but also tells you the local information and culture. Small group of people, so it felt more personable.

Interesting and entertaining - Tour was interesting, but not what we expected. We booked a tour of Diocletian‘s palace the following day, but found that this walking tour was a general tour of Diocletian‘s palace, and not necessarily around the city. Our tour guide Mijo was very entertaining and informative, and we appreciated his knowledge of the city.
