Since 2016, these award-winning, authentic, and exciting walking tours for history enthusiasts have offered a unique blend of history, discoveries, and fun. Led by licensed resident guides, known as ‘Emperors,’ who hold PhDs or Master’s degrees in History, Archaeology, and Economics, these tours are conducted by Split natives who have lived through significant historical periods, including Communism and the Homeland War. They possess deep local knowledge of Dalmatia, the oldest and most beautiful region of Croatia. On this tour, participants will explore the Old Medieval Town, featuring the spectacular Palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian, built in AD 305 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. A visit to the Museum of Basement Halls (Cellars), the best-preserved part of Diocletian’s Palace, is another highlight of this tour.
