Fascinating tour with Joško - We weren’t planning on doing a walking tour, but we happened to walk past a man outside the entrance to the Diocletian’s palace basement with a green sign saying “history tour” and my son (under 10) was interested, so we signed up on the spur of the moment. We are so glad we did! Joško was a brilliant guide, passionate about Split and full of interesting facts, history, stories and perspectives. He interacted well with my son, who was keen to ask lots of questions, and adapted his tour to address questions and interests of others on the tour as well. We visited the basements of Diocletian’s palace as part of the tour - this was an extra EUR 8, but was worth it, as it enabled Joško to give so much more context to the tour. We also saw the palace from the outside (by the waterfront), and all of the key points of interest around the palace, ending at the Golden Gate. Joško said to allow 1-1.5 hours for the tour, but he was so full of information that it ended up being 2 hours - worth every Euro!

Amazing Diocletian Palace Tour - WOW, what a tour. We certainly got lucky having Joško as our tour guide, whose knowledge of the palace and it's history was amazing. He had a very relaxed and interactive way of talking about the palace, which was never boring. Before we knew it the tour was over. His love for his home town of Split was self evident.

Excellent Tour by Josko--Boutique Emperor's Walking Tour for History Lovers - We took The History Tour with Josko. He was an excellent guide -- knowledgeable, entertaining, and thorough. The tour lasted almost 2 hours and there were 5 of us. We weren't sure about taking a tour but I am very glad we did. We learned a lot about the palace and the city. Josko's knowledge of the history provided useful context to understanding the past and the present. His English is excellent.
