Beautiful Plitviche National Park but tour was not good value for money - This tour provided by Grayline Tours Split was a little underwhelming. The tour bus was in a state of disrepair. One of our seats was broken and there was a hole above our heads where the air conditioning vent should have been. This hole was repaired during a tour stop using duct tape. We felt the Zeljava airbase visit did not add any value to the journey. We simply stopped for 10 minutes next to an old plane situated out front of the airbase and we paid an extra $60 dollars for that photo opportunity. The description of the tour did say we would get a glimpse into the technological achievements of the 60s but I don’t believe we did get that. I suggest that the tour operator could suggest appropriate footwear in the tour information email. Some in our group wore flip-flops which was entirely inappropriate footwear for the National Park. The Plitvice National Park is breathtakingly beautiful and our guide was very informative. We really enjoyed this part of the tour. The lunch stop at 4pm at Bistro Vila Velebita was excellent. We ate delicious food and drank lovely wine and beers. We were served very quickly and the staff were friendly. The blaring music on the bus journey home was unnecessary and a little irritating after 12 hours on the road. We paid $167 AUD per person and felt that it was not really good value for money.

Beautiful but poorly organized - The guide and lakes/waterfalls were great. The company however didn’t run the tour purchased as there was no stop at the airbase. Additionally they had an issue with the national park tickets that were purchased for an incorrect time that caused some avoidable issues.
