- Sperlonga - Our typical Gozzo will run alongside the Tiberius Cave from the sea with the remains of the Villa Tiberio. Here you can listen to a short story from our skipper about the history of the place. Navigation approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes with several stops and swimming. The first is at the Blue Grotto or Doll’s Grotto of about 30/40 minutes where it will be possible to swim inside the cave itself. We will resume navigation with another swimming stop at Cala Pozzo del Diavolo lasting 30/40 minutes. We will resume navigation passing close to Montagna Spaccata (Shrine of the Holy Trinity) where it will be very exciting to enter the natural inlet by boat. We will also touch the city of Gaeta for a short stop on land. The return journey to the port of departure will be slow and includes a further stop for a swim at Pozzo del Diavolo.

Our classic wooden gozzo offers spacious front deck areas and cosy stern seating, as well as a sizeable sunshade and fresh water shower for our guests. We commence our journey from Sperlonga marina around 9.00 am, setting our course for ‘Tiberio’s Cave’. The Roman emperor Tiberius graced his grand Villa with sculptures depicting Ulysses’ adventures. Our next destination is the “Blue Grotto”, where after anchoring, everyone enjoys a revitalising swim. Some even dive into the grotto where a tiny statue formed of natural stalactites reciprocates the greeting. Our trip continues to Gaeta, where the highlights are the Spiaggia dei Trecento Gradini and “La Montagna Spaccata”, two of Gaeta’s most charming sights. Another obligatory swim stop at Cala Pozzo del Diavolo is included, before concluding our journey. Around 1.30 pm, we return to Sperlonga port.
