Additional Information

Java island is home to many stunning landscapes, captivating UNESCO heritage sites, breathtaking volcanoes, and various spots for surfing and snorkeling among other attractions. We start our adventure from Yogyakarta, situated at the heart of Java Island. Yogyakarta offers an opportunity to experience authentic Javanese Culture, emanating from the locals and the various sites you’ll explore. Such include the Prambanan Temple, Sultan Palace, Malioboro Street, Kali Adem at Mount Merapi, as well as neighboring Borobudur temple located in Magelang Town, a 2-hour drive from Yogyakarta.

Upon visiting Yogyakarta, we will relish an executive train ride from Yogyakarta to Surabaya, which takes around 5 hours. From your train window, you can witness lush rice fields, quaint villages, and small towns that follow Yogyakarta. Surabaya, the capital of East Java, is home to two main attractions you will visit during the tour: Mount Bromo and Ijen Crater.

  • Important Information for all travellers who are going to book this trip: Every first Friday of the month, Mount Ijen is closed for one day. So, please make sure you check the date of your booking.
  • Update from Ijen Crater for this week: Ijen Crater opens at 2 am as usual, but the blue fire is not really visible at the moment due to natural causes (but when you are lucky, you will see it). The benefit is you can go down into the crater + you can still see the whole view of the Mining area and some miners too and of course the whole landscape during the sunrise.
  • Important News from Borobudur Temple There will be no sunrise tour anymore on the top of the temple and no one is allowed to visit the top of the temple as well. From now on, we can only see the BOROBUDUR TEMPLE at the bottom of the temple and for sunrise, we will go to Setumbu Hill.

Good news: There is a trial to climb up to the top floor but with special shoes and additional cost for it. it’s still not so sure when this trial stops or continues.

Best decision to book this private guided tour to see all Java highlights while not worrying about an organisation 🙏🏻 - We are so happy to have decided to enjoy the comfort of an all guided private tour to see the highlights of Java in a short time 🙏🏻 everything was well organized! Our Yogyakarta guide Andy has such a fun and kind personality. He made sure that we saw especially the cultural highlights and that we got private guides on the sites. After taking the train from Yogyakarta to Surabaya by ourselves (tickets were organized though!) we were picked up by Risky and Yogi. I was so impressed by Risky’s driving skills , and Yogi was always caring and made sure we have the best time and have all we need. Thanks to everyone! We can only recommend taking this tour but also to plan some relaxing days afterwards since you won’t get much sleep during those days!

Discover Bromo and Ijen with Arie - Our Driver and Guide named Arie picked us up in Yokya. The Car was nice and big. so the four of us had a lot of space.Arie is amazing, he explained everything to us, every detail about our jouney to the sky.The tour to the Bromo is the most exciting and breathtaking adventure we ever did. Arie was so careing, we were always the first at each interesting spot. The same with the IJEN-Tour. Arie knew the best time to walk up and down the crater. It was not that easy because the steps were very slippery, but we always got a helping hand. We highly can recommend both tours with Arie!

AMAZING - We had THE BEST time while doing this amazing trip, which exceeded our expectations. The communication with Sofyan before the trip was great. We had some questions and he answered everything very quickly. The things we saw and experienced during the tour can not be put into words. The views were breathtaking and the hikes were so much fun and challenging. After these days we were exhausted, but is was definitely worth it. I specially want to thank the amazing guides en drivers we had. They really made this trip as amazing as it was. They had so much to tell about the country and the places we’ve been to. In particular I want to thank Adam and Arie. They were both with us for a couple of days and made this trip unforgettable. Would definitely recommend!

Spectacular - 5 days/4 nights around Java. The drivers were all wonderful, punctual and excellent adventure companions. The price includes all entrance fees and guides, the facilities are simple but good. The temples are both beautiful, the climbs up the volcano at night are both special but lijen certainly has a different charm. The blue flames are beautiful but even with a mask, if the wind is against you you can't breathe well. The tour makes you discover the real Indonesia highly recommended.

Great tour - The 6D5N tour could be booked via WhatsApp. However, it took a while to create the offer and I had to ask several times. Basically, the tour was great! We started from Yogyakarta and ended in Bali. Our driver for the first part of the tour, Andy, was very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable with him. We had an expert guide for each sight and sometimes even individual tours. The provider also initially forgot about the Jomblang Cave, but Andy was still able to organize a visit to the cave. We then took the train to the second part of our tour. There we were picked up by Ari and our driver for the next few days. Ari was an extremely expert guide and showed us the best places at the sights. Thanks to his experience, we were even the first to see the blue flame and were able to enjoy the natural spectacle for several minutes just for ourselves. What I would have liked, however, would have been more opportunities for breaks to eat. Since we don't know the area, we didn't know when it would be a good idea to stop for lunch. It would have been even better if the guides had been passionate about photography, so we had to resort to a selfie stick.

Excellent experiences in Jogja and East Java - We really enjoyed the well-organized adventure in Yogjakarta and East Java including famous World Heritage sites and unique landscapes of volcanos. Especially, Mt. Bromo is something special even for Japanese, though Japan is also islands with many volcanos. Thank you for the team, especially Adam supporting us in Yogjakarta area and Yogi & Elfan in East Java.
