An absolute must!! - Book it!! Javier was the BEST guide! And Rioja was by far the most gorgeous wine country we’ve ever been to. We learned so much at both wineries, from Javier en route and left with a case of wine. Total success!

Great day out - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Rioja wine region. We visited two wineries - Bodegas Luis Canas and Tritium. These offered good contrasts, the former a larger scale operation, with the latter offering a more boutique experience. But both were very interesting and enjoyable with excellent hosts at each who explained the history of the wineries and treated us to a selection of excellent wines. After the two wineries we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant in a lovely setting in the beautiful medieval town of Laguardia. Our driver and tour guide Josean picked us up at our hotel and was excellent company and looked after us very well, explaining a lot of Basque history and culture to us. Importantly, he was also a very safe driver! Overall, a great day out.

Our Rioja wine tasting... - Our Rioja wine tasting tour with Alby and Diego was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. From the start, both guides made us feel completely at ease—like we were spending the day with friends or family rather than on a tour. His energy, fresh perspective, and thoughtful contributions made the experience richer. Watching the dynamic between the two of them was a joy—they clearly enjoy what they do, and it showed in every detail. The wineries chosen were excellent and gave us a chance to see the diversity of Rioja—from traditional family-run producers to more modern approaches. Tasting outstanding wines against the backdrop of rolling vineyards was magical, but what made it truly special was the way Alby and Diego tied each glass to the broader story of the region. It never felt like “just another tasting”; instead, it felt like we were connecting with the essence of Rioja. What stood out most, however, was how comfortable and cared for we felt. The personal attention, thoughtful pacing, and genuine interest in making the day enjoyable made this tour unforgettable. By the end, we felt like we had not only discovered Rioja’s wines but also gained two new friends. If you are considering a wine tour from San Sebastián, this is the one. Exceptional knowledge, outstanding wines, and above all, a truly warm and welcoming experience. Highly recommended!

Alby was wonderful and... - Alby was wonderful and made our experience so enjoyable. He went out of his way to provide insights into local culture, cuisine, and of course wine! We toured two amazing wineries and had a lovely lunch in an historic Basque town. The day was perfect!!!

Excellent day trip - Tour guide was great! The scenery and wineries were excellent as well. There was a lot of good information given during the trip. Highly recommend. We were able to get back by 6:00 PM in time for our dinner.

Ana was a v good guide - Ana was a very good guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and she took good care of us. It was an unusually hot day and a fiesta was on so a town was v busy so she adapted the plans to make it easier for us.

Go Alby! - Sony is an amazing guide! Super super fun tour with lots of wine samples and great food! My personal fav was the first winery!
