The region of Rioja stands out distinctively within the nation, credited to its exceptional climate and terrain that’s been favorable for wine production since the era of the Romans. Presently, it’s dotted with vineyards and wineries on every turn, shaping up a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that simply can’t be overlooked.
In this excursion, there’s an opportunity to tour around two distinct wineries, varying in terms of size from small to medium, to illustrate the differences in production methods. We’ll further extend the exploration to the time-frozen medieval town of Laguardia, to soak in an arresting panoramic view of the whole region.

Awesome day in La Rioja - We had a fantastic day in La Rioja. Our guide, Alby, had a well planned out tour for us, incl. lunch. The two vineyards were unique and the wines excellent.

Great experience - Adur was a wonderful guide. He showed us some remarkable architecture in addition to visiting two very different wineries (one typical of the area, another more interesting). He arranged a space for me to take a conference call with WiFi, chatted with our 10 year old daughter and made her feel comfortable, and just generally went above and beyond. Lunch was lovely as well. Thank you!!!

Wine getaway - With the help of our guide José we spent an incredible day learning about wines in Viscaya and Rioja Alavesa. The two vineyards we visited were appropriately chosen (Tritium and Eguren Ugarte) and we had a great time. Although the experience at Tritium was a bit more personalized – the same owner attended to us – it was enjoyed at both vineyards. Likewise, we highlight the stop in the charming town of Laguardia, with wonderful views and a pleasant meal.
It is a tour for both wine connoisseurs and those who are just getting into it; In both cases you enjoy and learn a lot. The agency and our guide lived up to our expectations and helped make our experience as comfortable and memorable as possible. 100% recommended.

Money Well Spent!! - Money well spent!!! We spent the day with Jose. He picked us up at our hotel and we spent an amazing day in wine country. We went to 2 wineries and the staff there was knowledgeable and welcoming. We learned a lot about the process of making the wine and of course got to taste. It was fun because our 20 year old daughter is studying in Bilbao for 5 months and this was her first wine tour experience. She loved it and now how a different perspective on wine. Jose also took us to a small village where we lunched on pintxos and drank wine. The views, company and wine were fantastic. We learned about the culture, the wine and so much more. Thank you to Jose and the wineries fir an amazing experience

Very full day - Very good plan to do with friends. Personally, I had already made visits to wineries in other different areas on other occasions, but on this occasion, the experience has been exceptional. The guide, the treatment and the way of carrying out the day in general has been perfect.

Rioja: Great Wines and Breathtaking Vistas - Our guide José was so friendly and accommodating to my desire to at least see Marqués de Riscal winery. I wrongly assumed that would be one of the wineries we would visit since it was the one featured in the photo for the tour.
I enjoyed the two wineries we did visit, especially the first one where we had the tour of the winery too. We visited Bodegas Hermanos Peciña and Bodegas Ostatu.
José added surprise stops with beautiful panoramic views to our day of touring Rioja. That was the highlight of our day for me. I also enjoyed the lunch of pintxos at Biazteri in Laguardia and the walk around the unique village.

A fantastic experience! - We went to visit two very nice and interesting small wineries.
The treatment in both was excellent and the wines were delicious!
We ate and walked through a very beautiful town.
We did the entire excursion with Adur, a charming boy who took us to the places, explained many things to us and even took us around the town where we ate, which was very beautiful.

Excellent tour - exceptional experience - We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The two different wineries were interesting and different from each other. The wine was interesting, the food exceptional. Viator was very accommodating to our needs to be picked up from the cruise ship when the ship set a later dock time and earlier return time. Viator and Imanol, the tour guide, were helpful and accommodating, while still protecting the full experience. Imanol was an excellent driver and informative with information about the area and the Basque culture.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this tour.
