Great Soweto tour - We loved our tour with Kgaogelo. She was informative and educated about so many things related to Soweto and SA more generally. We went with our 9, 11, and 14 year-olds. Our walking tours through a Soweto informal settlement and Mandela’s home were particular highlights.

Outstanding tour of Soweto, highly recommended. - An outstanding tour of Soweto with KG, a walking encyclopaedia of South African history generally and Soweto specifically. This tour for our family was extremely informative and timed perfectly. The walk-through a lower class housing area was unexpected and provided an extremely valuable perspective on what life is like in Soweto.

Insightful tour of Soweto - Very insightful tour of Soweto. KG was an excellent guide, she was very knowledgeable on the broader history of South Africa, Soweto and the significant events that took place during the 1976 uprising. She was very sharing with her time and answered all our questions expertly. Lindela took us for a brief walk through the township which was a great experience.

Wonderful tour of Soweto with black-owned company that I highly recommend - I was fortunate to receive a tour of Soweto led by Pastor/Pastar, co-owner of this tour company with this wife. He was very knowledgeable about Soweto based on his own experience having lived there, and knew the people we visited along the way. I saw key museum sites without being rush and met some locals in a slum area. It was the opposite of a 'mass-produced' group tour. In addition, I was happy to support a black-owned tour company. This should be an important criteria for anyone who wants to support economic and social change in South Africa, where wealth continues to be highly concentrated among whites. I would highly recommend this tour and this tour company, which I understand has years of experience providing a whole range of both city and safari tours.

Informative and eye opening tour - We were picked up from our hotel right on time by our guide Martin .
The tour was just for myself and my partner DI we were able to chat freely with Martin and he was very informative and forthcoming with information.
We stopped at a few significant spots along the way to Soweto for a quick photo here and there and then arrived at the shantytown area of Soweto . We were then asked would we like a tour of the area and a local man guided us through the area whilst informing us of many facts regarding Soweto. We also visited a day care there and took some treats for the children.
Next we headed to the home of Nelson and Winnie Mandela where we were guided through the tour by a young university student who was very knowledgeable.
Overall we really enjoyed the tour . Whilst it is a bit confronting we never felt unsafe and Martin was an excellent tour guide

Very interesting visit to Soweto - The visit led by our guide Pastor was very interesting. He picked us up promptly at our hotel. We were able to see Soweto from various points, as well as all the most interesting points of this city: its different neighborhoods, the towers, Nelson Mandela's house... In addition, Pastor answered all our curiosities about Apartheid, life in Soweto and other aspects of life in South Africa. We were unable to access the Apartheid museum due to a power outage. But we did get to see Soccer City in Johannesburg from the outside, where the 2010 World Cup final was held.
