Encompassing a square mile, White Pocket consists of a series of domes and ridges beneath a larger mesa bordered by similar geological formations. The term ‘pocket’ here signifies a small distinct area of land that stands out from its environment, which in this case is mostly sandy plains with sparse vegetation of shrubs and small trees. The predominant color of the rocks here is white or light grey, offering a stark contrast to the red hues of the Coyote Buttes. However, the overall landscape features are akin - with undulating, thinly layered sedimentary rocks, strata of contrasting hues adjacent to one another, and intriguing shapes carved by erosion. Additional colorful pockets dot the southern and eastern expanses of the plateau, some with designated names while others remain unnamed. There are numerous sites, each with the potential for picturesque geological structures.

Birthday finale - This was the finale of my birthday trip. An absolutely breathtaking experience of mother nature 'a artistry. I highly recommend using the guide. The ROAM tour guide Jeremy was amazing 👏 🤩 😍. He helped me a lot navigating the cliffs and was very caring and understanding. Incredible views of the Utah can be seen hanging on the horizon. A must do for every traveler.

What a day !!! - What a day !!! Our tour guide Jacey was waiting for us at a meeting point when we arrived, 4x4 car was spacious and clean, Jacey was telling us stories and educated us on plants and geology all day. White Pocket was breathtaking! We also had few other quick stops along the way to overlook mountains and watch condors. Highly recommend this !

Amazing texture of rocks ever seen - Had a great off road tour to white pocket with Jack as guide(ROAM). It's an amazing place with no trails and not explored much by travelling crowd. The texture of rocks in white pocket is so beautiful I have ever seen. Enjoyed climbing on rocks with no restrictions of trails. Off road drive involved driving in sand for more than an hour and Jack did a very good job at that. He also had a good knowledge of the area and guided well.

I am so glad that we had... - I am so glad that we had a professional guide. There was no internet, no friendly maps nor directions, and road was so rough to drive with a regular car. The view was so beautiful and it was really worth it get there!
