Stargazing in the backvalley from several incredibly dark spots - An incredible experience in the darkest dark of Monument Valley, you can see a number of stars you can't experience in light-polluted places. Cheryl guided us in different viewing areas, also the ride in the backvalley in the dark was a memorable experience. Cheryl, if you read this, please send us the pictures you took of us :)

Monument Valley adventure - Larry was great-loved it. The back country is holy, even in random rain there is knowledge of the stone of the history of the background of the area. It was amazing fantastic trip and the land is just glorious.

Greatest part of my AZ/UT trip - For my mother's birthday we decided to do something new and adventurous. Unfortunately where we live on the East Coast our skies are filled with light pollution so we can never truly have a stargazing experience. This tour filled our dreams and so much more. Since we traveled during off-season, it was just Cheryl, my mom and I out in the park at night which was even more special. We got to take our time asking questions and exploring the park uninterrupted by others. We had the greatest tour guide, Cheryl, who literally felt like family to my mom and I. She showed us how to take National Geographic worthy photos on our iphones. Shared personal anecdotes, cultural experiences, history of the native people and so much more. She truly made the trip amazing for my mom and I and will be the main reason why I return back to the area. I would highly recommend having Cheryl as your tour guide and checking out this once in a lifetime tour. If Cheryl was this amazing, I can only imagine what the other guides are like. Would highly recommend booking with this company.

Amazing experience! - I went on the Stargazing Tour while visiting Monument Valley. I'm so happy I did! The sky was clear, and the stars were incredible. Our driver, Cheryl, who I must say is an expert in maneuvering the 4-wheel drive vehicle through the valley roads at night was so friendly. Our other guide, Frank was so informative and interesting. They both had a great sense of humor, which I think enhanced the experience. Cheryl helped everyone who needed it get some great photos. It was a memorable evening. I would definitely recommend Monument Valley Tribal Tours.

Monument Valley Backcountry - Wow, Marjorie Gray led us on a truly wondrous backcountry tour of her Monument Valley homeland in the Navajo Nation...we started, as all self-guided and private tours start, on the 17-mile loop road but then quickly ventured off the beaten path to visit several canyons, hogans, and valleys where we saw petroglyphs and pottery shards from Navajo ancestors...it was a cold day in early February and storm clouds were abundant yet did not rain but we did experience snow at higher elevations...Marjorie was a fantastic guide...hse knows her history, cultural geography and geology and went out of her way to make sure that we learned about her Navajo people and their history. If you take the backcounry tour, request Marjorie; you'll be as happy as we were. :-)

For avid stargazers with a lot of knowledge about the stars - The Stargazing Tour is primarily chosen by two classes of enthusiasts. The first are those who wish to see the night sky to identify stars and clusters with the help of Astronomical Map Apps in their mobile phones. The second group are those who wish to take photos of the night sky with minimal light pollution. Almost all the time was spent to satisfy these needs of my fellow night sky gazers. My purpose was neither, but to connect to the unpolluted night sky spiritually and to hear how the Navajo Peoples related to the stars in the heaven. That expectation was not satisfied. So, if you are an avid stargazer with a lot of knowledge about the stars and are fluent with use and interpretations of related Mobile Apps, this is the tour you want.
