Red Canyon Slot Aka Peek a boo trailhead - This is a private tour to a public destination. By private, we mean that we don’t usually combine groups unless it is only 1-4 people. Please contact us with questions regarding how we privatize. (Minimum 2 guests per booking.) This is a fully guided tour where guides do the driving. NO GUEST DRIVING.
Get ready for a fun ride to Peekaboo Slot Canyon! The best way to get to the canyon is with an off-road machine. Our vehicles are tons of fun for the sandy, bumpy trails. Sandboarding is an included optional activity for children, teens, and adults who want to give it a try. You can slide standing up or sitting down according to your skill and comfort levels. There are sand dunes and beautiful scenery along the way, with occasional small wildlife that may make an appearance. This dry slot canyon is away from the crowds and is a great alternative to some of the busier areas at the national parks. The hike through the slot canyon is not difficult. It does include a small ladder near the beginning of the hike. Enjoy the narrow sections with the occasional beam of light. It is a great opportunity for kids and families to relax and go at their own pace.

Prepare for a thrilling journey to Peekaboo Slot Canyon! Traveling to the canyon is best achieved with an off-roading vehicle. Our Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) offer a delightful ride over sandy, uneven tracks.
An included optional activity of sandboarding is available for children, teenagers, and adults willing to give it a shot. Choose your style - stand up or sit down based on your ability and ease. The route is lined with sand dunes and captivating landscapes, with a chance of spotting some small wildlife. This dry slot canyon is free from crowd congestion, providing an excellent substitute to some overpopulated zones in the national parks.
The walk through the slot canyon is not challenging. It does involve a tiny ladder at the start of the walk. Explore the slim areas illuminated by occasional light rays. An excellent opportunity for families and children to take their time and enjoy at a comfortable pace.

We will meet in the parking area of Peek-A-Boo Trailhead about 15 minutes north of Kanab. There are signs on the highway showing the turnoff. The turn is on highway 89 between mile markers 72 and 73. We will send a direct link before we meet up.

Very cool adventure! - Very cool adventure! Josh knew the best spots to stop for photos and made the ride really fun. The slot canyon is absolutely amazing and not to be missed! We followed it up with lunch and Kanookies per Josh’s recommendation.

Just do this! Its so much fun. - Brent was our UTV driver, tour guide and excellent photographer. My daughters and I had a blast on the UTV and sandboarding. When it came to the slot canyon, he gave us so much interesting information about the area and the slot canyon. We never felt rushed, he really took his time with us. As for his photography skills, they were fantastic! He knew exactly where to take the best pictures. Highly recommend!!

Had the best time with... - Had the best time with Brent!! He was full of knowledge, very personable and funny. The group was very small and intimate with myself and 2 friends. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to sandboard and check out the canyons. Wonderful experience

We loved it! - 10/10 recommend! Our guide, Brent, was awesome!! Our kids loved the sandboarding (8 & 11) and the sand WAS SO SOFT! The UTV ride was outstanding, the scenery is gorgeous and Brent was a great and fun driver! We LOVED the slot canyon. We had visited Antelope the day prior, and greatly preferred this!!!!! Book it!

We enjoyed it - Our guide Brinley was awesome! She answered all our questions and even assisted taking pictures and videos. The views were great. Sandboarding is fun, hiking up the hill is tough though. I recommend doing it barefoot as it's easier and the sand is quite soft. I wouldn't have minded if we'd taken a couple extra laps in the UTV. I recommend this. It was a good way to spend a few hours.

Sand-sational - This was an easy and enjoyable way to see a slot canyon. The sand dune adventure was a a different and fun experience. (If you do it, be prepared to leave with sand in places you never imagined.) We all really enjoyed it. Brent was great and gave good insight about the geology and area. The scenery was the breathtaking. We're glad we got this intimate tour versus being with a large group in the parks. Definitely fun for families and somewhat adventurous adults.
