Magnificent and awe inspiring!! - Gary our guide was phenominal! Navigating his Hummer over “roads” (read tracks in deep red sand) to places of such ancient beauty, filled with a spirit presence, from the “Square house ruins” to the “Half moon arch” advising that these arches are “rainbows frozen in stone” . He shared his archeological knowledge along with his spiritual awareness in connection to “all things” on this beautiful earth. Our Guide and the Scenery creates a spiritual experience - Our full day tour exploring Mystic Valley and Hunts Mesa was magnificent for both the unparalleled scenery and the once in a lifetime experience of being guided by Larsen Homer. Larsen was born and raised in a traditional family. His knowledge of the history and traditional ways is mesmerizing. My wife and I were in awe. Having lived on the Navajo in the early 80’s and having revisited several times since, it was wonderful to learn and see so much more. Perfect Mystery Valley experience - We loved our tour of Mystery Valley. Our guide Sean was very knowledgeable about the area, history and culture. We completely enjoyed our morning with him and sincerely appreciated his time and expertise. I wish we would have booked another tour with him as our guide.

Highly recommend - I did three different tours across Navajo Nation, and this was by far the most informative. Sean, our guide, taught us much about Navajo history, both before and after the arrival of European settlers, as well as past and current Navajo politics. Also some botany, birding, and names of Monument Valley buttes. Mystery Valley is next to Monument Valley, so the rock formations are softer, not monumental. This is more in keeping with the entire larger area: soft sandstone slopes into canyons, and what you'll learn makes it superb.

So happy we booked with Navajo tours!!! - Larsen was our tour guide and went the extra mile to share all of the wisdom of the Navajo people from his authentic Navajo roots. He had valuable information to share at each stop, and was so open to answer questions. We booked a second afternoon tour to Monument valley with Larsen that was matched with the same excellent attention. Take care to know exactly where to meet! We were a bit confused.

Unforgettable spiritual and personal experience - Mystery Valley is a breathtaking place, but being Navajo land, only accessible with a guide. Garry, native Navajo, spirit healer, and one of the owners of Navajo Spirit Tours, took us for an unforgettable mini retreat through the valley, taking time to explain Navajo spirituality and way of life, and patiently answering all our questions (and we had many). The tour had two main highlights, other than the unique landscape itself. First, we got to participate in the Beauty Way ceremony (that's right - participate, not just watch), a traditional Navajo ceremony not commonly performed for non-Navajo people. There is no better way to witness the philosophy and spirituality of Navajo people to my knowledge, short of joining their nation. Later came the second highlight, dinner with Garry and Michelle, his wife. Both are lovely, open minded people, and Michelle cooks some of the best Navajo Tacos there are. We got to know many more details of their multi-facetted lives, Navajo spirituality, but also politics and life in the nation. I cannot overstate how rich of an experience this mini retreat has been for us, and there is no better person to guide one than Garry. To round off this memorable package, we also booked a Mystery Valley Tour with their son, Sean, who came across as the most competent guide to Navajo history and culture there can possibly be. He's a never ending well of knowledge, and his passionate telling of the relationship between the Chaco Canyon and Kayenta civilisations, illustrated by sketches in the sand, will always remain vivid in our memory. We won't forget these two tours and the lovely people who made it all possible any time soon!

Inspirational and magical experience, highly recommended!! - When planning a 3 week road trip through California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah from Germany I didn't think that the Mystery Valley Tour would become the absolute highlight of our trip! It did thanks to Navajo Spirit Tours! We did the Moment Valley Tour in the morning with Sean, which was excellent (see review for Monument Valley) but the Mystery Valley Tour with our guide Garry left me speechless! It's still hard to find words to describe how inspiring and magical this experience was. There is something to that place, in addition to its absolute beauty, that touched my heart. There is a spirituality that caught me totally unexpected. I can't really describe what it was, but I somehow felt connected and at peace at that place. Garry was just amazing! With his warm and calm nature it was easy to connect. His passion for Navajo culture is contagious. He took us to incredible places and told us about ancient traditions and ceremonies, showed us plants with which you could even cure the bite of a rattle snake. We learnt about how Navajos lived thousands of years ago and how Navajos live today. He went out of his way to show us magical views (which involved climbing I wouldn't have done by myself), took brilliant photos of us and never was short of another story to share. He played the drums and flute and sang for us which was so beautiful and special. He seemed to know exactly what we needed to make this tour a once in a lifetime experience for us. We highly recommend doing the Mystery Valley tour with Navajo Spirit Tours. I hope to return some day and do it again. Thank you Garry for making this experience so special!

Amazing Monument & Mystery Valley Experience - Went on this trip with my best friend and we had such an amazing time. We booked this tour company based on the recommendation from friends who had positive reviews. We weren’t disappointed. Sean was our tour guide and was so passionate and knowledgeable about his people and land. We did the all day tour which I would recommend. Monument valley in the am was beautiful but Mystery valley in the afternoon made our trip. We learned so much and the scenery was breathtaking. We travelled all over Arizona on our trip, experienced a lot of the state and saw a number of amazing places. That said, there was something uniquely powerful and wonderful about this experience on the tour. Our tour guide was phenomenal. I feel very grateful to have this experience.
