Highlights
  • Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park - Your guide would take you to see the beautiful iconic buttes, spires and mesas that have made Monument Valley famous on part of the 17 mile loop drive. We would then go to the back country restricted areas of the Tribal Park to stand beneath the natural arches, amp theaters and get right up close to the Anasazi petroglyphs. Our guides are so kind and would explain the traditional meanings of each location, history, and culture while answering any question that you might think of. Navajo Spirit Tours does not shy away from some of the spiritual topics that you might not hear about on a regular day. We do try our best in the short amount of time that we have with each of our guests to teach as much as we can while you are here. We do look forward to meeting you!

Tour Exceeded Expectations - Our guide was a young Navajo man named Shawn. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cultural history, the natural history, the geology, and many other things. He was able to take us into the restricted area. Very friendly. Don't think we could have done any better.

Great customer service - This is a slightly different review as we did not actually go on the tour! We had booked the tour earlier that day but - due to the seasonal time changes and difference between AZ and UT time zones - we missed our time and missed the start of the tour. This was completely our fault. Despite this, Navajo Spirit Tours gave us a full and immediate refund without even having to ask for it! They did this automatically. As a tourist in the country, this really impressed me and I appreciate this kind of customer service. If I do go back to Monument Valley (and I hope I do) I will definitely book with Navajo Spirit Tours.

Great views and guide - We enjoyed having Larson as our guide. He had us laughing. He was very informative and was willing and ready to answer our questions, even personal ones. We liked going off the beaten track to see ruins and unusual rock formations that we had not seen when we drove the loop that morning. H helped us get great phlotos. We did not feel rushed at all.

Stunning scenery, culturally significant and moving - Wonderful tour of an amazing place. We got to see the (incredible ) views of the main areas (John Ford Point) as well as access to the restricted areas to get up close to arches, petroglyphs and other formations. Our guide shared freely of her Navajo culture and traditions complete with storytelling and playing us songs on her flute. You can drive your own vehicle but the road is very rough and steep in places and we were so glad we left the driving to the expert and really get to see the place. The tour was very moving, beautiful and so worth it!

Amazing Monument Valley - SIMPLY THE BEST tour I have taken in my life. Garry Holiday was our guide and owner of the family run business. The tour was truly the most awe inspiring experience of our travels. Garry provided commentary on everything that we were seeing and helped us understand the people and culture of this fantastic place. We not only saw the vast beauty of Monument valley but came away with something so much more a memory we will cherish forever. To sum it up I will say that we saw great natural beauty wrapped in history and culture all provided with the passion of a man that lives the Navaho life with dignity. His performance of a Navaho ceremony is the highlight for us and hope to repeat our visit again. You can get a tour from anyone but to experience the park it’s people and its history the choice is clearly Navaho Spirit Tours.
