An amazing must see tour - Jameson was a great tour guide! He gave us good insight into the Navajo culture and the ways the Navajo people live in the desert environment. Not only is he an amazing storyteller, he is a musician too. Take this tour to hear him play the flute and sing in Navajo.

Beautiful and Intimate Tour - We had THE best tour guide in Cheryl. We started our tour at The View Hotel and made our way into Monument Valley. Throughout the whole tour, Cheryl was informative and answered any question we had. She even sang with the other guides when they sang songs of their people. She was very pleasant and accommodating taking pictures of our whole group. It was nice to have a small group of 6 people making it intimate enough to not have to fight to talk to your guide and get information. All the stops we made were beautiful had history of the land and the Navajo, especially stopping at a Hogan and getting a demonstration of weaving by an older woman in the Tribe. Great tour that I totally recommend!! Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl!!!

Stunning back country! Unforgettable tour. Cheryl our guide was terrific! - The scenery is breathtaking. Our Navajo guide Cheryl was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, a great driver, and had a good sense of humor! We saw beautiful arches and places you cannot view without a guide. Well worth the cost of the tour!

Fantastic Extended Backcountry Tour - We picked up our Extended Backcountry tour at the View Hotel. After discovering we had hopped onto the wrong tour vehicle, we quickly corrected our mistake, and our tour commenced with four other individuals, and our guide, Larry. The tour itself was impressive, and offered grand views of Monument Valley, as well as a stop at a hogan belonging to a local family. There we met a young Navajo woman who shared various elements important to the Navajo way of life and demonstrated the traditional method of spinning wool into yarn (yes, we even saw the sheep on the property). Larry was an excellent guide; he provided history, explained the Navajo culture, freely shared his knowledge with the group, and even provided hints for the best photo opportunities. This tour was a highlight of our recent trip to the Southwest, and we would definitely recommend it to enhance your time in Monument Valley. Thank you, Larry, for the amazing experience!

We would highly recommend Monument Valley Tribal Tours as best way to see Valley - We did a full day tour with our tour guide Larry who was outstanding. This is the only way to see the Valley. Larry's knowledge of Navajo history and the stories he told kept us well entertained. We saw amazing parts of the Valley not seen on public loop. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Great tour of an amazing place - Incredible views, interesting stories. Enjoyed the small group size and extrap places we were able to see that we could not see on our own. Our guide Marjorie was very friendly and helpful, added good personal stories and cultural information.

Best Guide, Best Tour, Best Company - Despite cold weather and 20+ mph winds, we had a perfect tour with Vera on the MV Extended Backcountry Tour. Weather conditions made the open vehicle impossible, but, unlike other companies, this one immediately provided an enclosed van for the tour. Our guide, Vera, a Navajo herself, was knowledgeable of all aspects of the valley. She explained the history and culture of the Navajo Nation, the residents of the valley, and rock formations. We could not have chosen a better guide or company than Monument Valley Tribal Tours. We also recommend the extended tour because it gives you a complete experience in the valley.

Monument Valley at its Best - We were contacted with great instructions and directions. The tour started on time and our tour guide Larry was beyond fantastic. Every question answered history explained geology explained. Felt like we were experiencing the best of Monument Valley available. Again Larry was an exceptional tour guide and person. I would do this tour again but only if we could have Larry again. Monument Valley should not be missed.
