The best adventure ever - The best adventure ever. The kids loved it and the guide was a supreme stand up guy. The guide had the same humor as a Scandinavian and was pretty good saying “rød grød med fløde” (danish). I would recommend adrift any time and if you want to have fun at the same time remember to ask for Jacob for your guide. He is a outstanding young guy. He made us laugh the whole trip. Best regards From Denmark

Adrift Adventures - TOP NOTCH! - I've been going on Westwater trips almost every year for over 20 years for friends and co-workers. Myke Hghes runs a first rate top notch adventure company. This year, with the Colorado River running at around 11,000 cubic feet per second resulted in fast water and big rapids. Our boatman, Ethan, was exceptionally skilled (he rowed us through Skull Rapid with ease - a perfect run!) and had an encyclopedic knowledge of boats, the river, the geology, and the history. It was a pleasure to see him again (he was our boatman from last year). I will continue to choose Adrift for rafting Westwater to get my whitewater fix and tointroduce my friends and colleagues to advetnuring Moab syle.

Great Day on the Colorado River - My husband and I enjoyed our full-day Westwater Canyon trip with Adrift Adventures. Tyler was everything that you want in a guide on the water--professional, engaging, fun, and safety conscious. He made the trip so much fun with his stories and his insights into the river and how he approached each rapid. The company is very professional. We traveled to and from the river in a comfortable van and were given high quality equipment to use on the river.

White water rafting with the family - Our entire family really enjoyed this excursion. The shop was easy to find and offered plenty of parking. The shuttle to the location was spacious and clean. The tour guides were both fun and had good energy together. Our tour guide was Austin. He was friendly, fun, and shared a lot of good info about the history of the area. At the end of our family trip everyone said that of all the things we did, rafting was their favorite!

*PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING* - Rafted on 05/07/22 I want to start off by saying that our guides were amazing and they did a great job! That being said, I want to inform you of a few things that multiple people on the trip were not aware of so you can make your own informed decision. 1. This is NOT a paddle trip. You just sit in the raft the whole trip and don't do anything. Most of the people on our trip (myself included) were not aware of this. We wouldn't have booked this had we known that. Again, you will not be paddling, just sitting there watching the guide work his butt off. 2. There are no pictures. Every trip I've been on has had someone taking pictures or video. Not this one. Didn't offer it. It makes sense though as I would have been very disappointed if I paid for them on this trip. More to follow below. :) 3. I would NOT recommend the "Full day" Westwater Canyon trip. (7am - 4:30pm) I've rafted all over the United States and in other countries as well but I've never been on a trip like this. Very disappointed and I've never said that after a trip! This trip is basically a "booze crusie" or a really expensive bird watching experience. First off, it's an hour and a half van ride just to get to the boat ramp where you put in. Then you spend the first 2+ hours just slowly floating down the river. NO rapids. And remember, you're not paddling. You stop for lunch around 11. The food was good with a nice variety and the guides were gracious hosts. You finally hit some rapids after lunch but it is VERY short lived. Maybe 40mins worth and they are pretty spread out. No 4s on our trip. A handful of class 1 and 2 with I think one class 3. There was really only one that was worth talking about. They can't control that though, just telling you our experience. After the very short rapid section, the guides attach a motor to the raft and you spend a little over an hour bird watching again as they motor down the river. Then back in van for about an hour drive back. So all that being said, this is a trip you could take your grandparents on. They could handle it and would probably enjoy it. I wouldn't reccomend for families as kids would get bored and restless very quick. If you don't want to paddle and just want a chill day on the river looking at the sights then this trip is for you. They should do a much better job explaining all of this ahead of time and laying out exactly what is included in the all day trip. Most of the people we rafted with wouldn't have booked (myself included) had we all known this ahead of time. I hope this is helpful and informative. Happy rafting!
