Cowboy John is the best - This was an amazing experience. Our host Cowboy John was entertaining, fun and his extensive knowledge of the history of the town and its celebrities, movies and tv shows filmed in Kanab was so interesting to hear. We loved this!!! Highly recommend. Plus, we know the BEST way to make s’mores now.

Longhorns, stars and so much s'more - We discovered Campfire S'mores and Stars hosted by Adventure Tour Co through our Airbnb host, and I can honestly say—it was the highlight of our trip. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough! Cowboy John was the real deal—an incredible host, master s’mores maker, captivating storyteller, and even a seasoned UFO spotter. His knowledge of the Kanab area and the old fort was fascinating, and the way he shared its rich history made us feel like we were stepping back into the golden age of Westerns. I had no idea so many iconic shows and movies were filmed in and around Kanab—it added a whole new layer of charm to the evening. Despite a few clouds in the sky, we still got to witness the ethereal glow of the Strawberry Moon and picked out a handful of constellations. But one of the absolute highlights? The Longhorns. What majestic animals! We got to meet Lil Buddy up close, along with one of the newest calves—an unforgettable moment that made the evening feel even more special. This experience was truly magical from start to finish. If you’re anywhere near Kanab, don’t miss this one—it’s the kind of memory that lingers long after the campfire burns out

Stars in Kanab - Seeing the longhorn cattle and petting them was fun. The stars were bright but unfortunately we weren’t there during the time when the Milky Way was visible. Cowboy John was very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting stories.

Nice Program - We had a group of 8 people who were looking forward to a nice peaceful evening of stories and stargazing. The intentions were good by the wonderful group of people who presented a very good program, a bit disorganized but good and entertaining. Unfortunately due to a very large group of schoolchildren who were disruptive and loud, we did not quite enjoy portions of the evening. I would suggest those larger groups not combined with a smaller S’mores & Stars group.

Not worth the price. - We were not impressed with this tour. When we arrived, there were 52 teenagers, which was very distracting. Based upon the tour fee, it was not worth it. Would not recommend, especially at $65 per person. It was a bit disorganized.

Disappointed - Arrived and were literally surrounded by 50 kids they were hosting. They were juggling entertaining us and them. If you want to hear about all the movies filmed in Utah this is the place for you. The s'mores were good.
