Great beginner lesson with a very knowledgeable guide! - Our family of 6 really enjoyed our private fly fishing tour with Mike. Mike spent the time to teach us all the basics of fly fishing and then took us to the water. Unfortunately river conditions were not conducive to fishing, so we had to fish on local private property. The property was beautiful and the fish were biting. Overall, it was a great introduction to fly fishing and fun for our whole family. Mike went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time and worked with us each individually on our technique. We would definitely recommend this tour to others!!

Fly Fishing with Mike - Mike did an awesome job teaching us how to fly fish - neither of us had ever even touched a fly rod - then he went above & beyond to make sure we both caught fish!! We’re hooked now! Thank you so much, Mike!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. - Mikey was an amazing teacher. He taught us first on the bank. He had so many special ways to improve your fly fishing. Little tricks to help you be successful. He taught us how to cast, how to set the hook, which flies we were using and why he had chosen them. He was patient but also didn’t just let you keep doing something wrong. He wanted you to learn. We had extra special treatment. We were going to fish in the river but due to a recent flood event he changed it to a private pond. The views were still amazing. We caught rainbow, cutthroats, and saw some small bass. He was very careful to release the fish so that we unharmed. Can’t go wrong with Roam!!

Fly fishing the Asay with Mikey - Mikey was awesome! He had such much enthusiasm and obviously loves what he does. My boys (10, 15, and 19) all has a great experience and learned so much about fly fishing. Absolutely beautiful location for fishing! Don’t hesitate to book this trip! Your family will love it. We also did the UTV combo tour with ROAM. They are a great company-everyone was so professional, responsive, and friendly!!

Relaxing and Peaceful - This was a relaxing and peaceful excursion. We had been busy all week with other adventures, and we were all a bit tired, so this was perfect. We were the only people on our section of the Asay River. Mikey was our guide and we all loved him. He is a terrific guide and a lovely human. He went through everything we needed to know and continually helped us. My two daughters and I had no experience fly fishing. My husband had some, but not much. Mikey was so excited when we caught fish. His passion for fly fishing is obvious. My two teen daughters and I each caught two beautiful rainbow trout. My husband caught 6 or 7. It was fun to relax in such a scenic spot with no people around. I highly recommend ROAM. It's a top-notch outfit with awesome guides.

Guides were fun and friendly - This was a fun activity for our family. Our guides were friendly and taught us how to make our own flies for fly fishing. They provided an excellent lunch and we rounded off the day with skeet shooting. They even gave my son a trophy for being the “best shooter in the group.”

High water - Unfortunately, the water in the creek was high because of snow melt, and our trip was cancelled. They suggested alternatives, but my party wasn't interested. We were reimbursed immediately.
