Additional Information

Behold the mesmerizing desert sunset from a hidden cliff inside Arches National Park. Tucked away from the throngs of visitors, this secluded spot offers an intimate viewing of the sun’s farewell kiss to the day.

A short yet steep trek above the Landscape Arch leads you to a captivating corner of the park, located high in the Devil’s Garden. Please be aware that this ascent, while scenic, might be challenging for those with acrophobia or mobility restrictions. A portion of the hike takes place after sunset, in diminished natural light. During June and July, a rock formation obscures direct viewing of the sunset from the overlook, yet this doesn’t detract from the singular charm of this expedition.

Please be aware that our products are not sold directly on ‘Cool Destinations’. The listed prices of our tours are inclusive of taxes.

  • PLEASE READ: WHY WE DON’T INCLUDE PARK ENTRY INTO THE COST OF OUR TOURS We are regulated by the National Park Service who sets all entry and tour guidelines. We very much sympathize with the possible extra cost to you, but If we did we would be limited to where we can take you inside the parks and that would significantly compromise your tour experience. Moreover, since you can use an existing pass to get in for free on our tours, we would be overcharging most of our guests who already have a pass. If you have a park pass you’re set. If not, please do not acquire one ahead of time (non-refundable) - you can easily purchase it directly from the National Park on the day of the tour. Please call Moab In a Day directly with any questions.
  • Please cancel your tour if on the day of the tour you present with the following symptoms: fever of 100.5 F or 38.1 C of higher, or chills, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle aches, loss of taste or smell that cannot be attributed to another condition.

Sunset Tour in Canyonlands - Paulina was an excellent tour guide for our sunset tour in the Canyonlands. She offered great information, insights, and an inside scoop on Moab in general. She took several great pictures of my son and I. She also made sure we had water for the trip. The information on the geology and history of the area and sites we toured was amazing! She got us to the sunset point at just the right time and made sure we had great seats. She catered the tour specifically to us, making sure to include the spots we hadn't seen and inquired to the areas we had already visited so as not repeat them. She was a careful and safe driver, and picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel door. I would recommend Paulina on any tour in Moab. She was phenomenol!

Canyonlands Sunset Tour - Guide Paulina was a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and information. She spoke confidently about the history and geology of both Dead Horse State Park and Canyonlands National Park, and provided helpful suggestions about other Moab things to do (e.g., driving the La Sal Mountain Loop Road--48 miles overlooking the Moab Valley), as well as several restaurant recommendations. Highly satisfied with our tour.

Excellence and Flexibility - Paulina was very flexible with us and designed an evening tour to our specific requests. She was very knowledgeable and personal and we had a great blend of seeing the sites, listening to geological theories, sharing personal experiences around Moab, and telling jokes. A great tour!
