Highlights
- SPI Excursions - This 4 -5 hour fishing adventure includes all your bait and tackle. The captain will help detach all fish and set your bait. Your local captain is knowledgeable about fishing spots and the variety of wildlife. We provide an ice chest for the fish caught. Customers are welcome to bring their own cooler with food and drinks (alcohol or non) just no glass. At your departure location is a restaurant that provides food and drinks to go.
Our boats are fully equipped for a fishing excursion and are family-friendly……even the kids will love it! Boat types used 22ft Majek or 24ft Carolina. We do not guarantee a certain boat requested.

Indulge in Bay Fishing at South Padre Island! We invite you to experience private fishing for 1 to 6 people on the majestic Laguna Madre, aboard our 22 ft Majek or 24ft Carolina. This fishing expedition is open to all, beginners, children, and professionals alike.
Different varieties of fish are available for catches depending on the season, which include sand trout, whiting, drum, shark, sheepshead, among others. Cleaning of the caught fish can be provided at an extra charge, with $1 for small fish (like trout) and $5 for larger fish (such as redfish).
Shark Fishing can be arranged, however, we require 2 days’ notice prior to the trip because the specific bait needs to be acquired.

Excellent time on the water - Chapo was Amazing! We met our limit and had a great time on the water. Our family will definitely be back and we are even booking a corporate trip for our employees because we had such a great time!

Awesome Fishing Trip - Great Experience - Capt Brady and his first mate were amazing, we had so much fun and we all caught at least 5 fish each - about 25 total for our group of 5. Everyone was happy. We enjoyed our adventure.

Bay fishing guide experience SPI Texas - We have gone several times this past 2023- 2024 winter fishing with guide, Chapo, from SPI excursions. He is most helpful and courteous on the boat, changes locations frequently to find the fish and does a fabulous job cleaning the fish. Lobo Del Mar, where SPI excursion is located, even prepares the fresh caught fish and makes delicious fish tacos to make for a fine and memorable experience. We will definitely book future excursions with Chapo. Thanks again Chapo!!

Fun time with family - I love that they charge 1 price to go out, they provided everything, all we had to do was show up! Nice clean boat, very professional set up (the activities are all part of the Lobo Del Mar restaurant ) great guide and beautiful area to fish.

Viva el CHAPO - CHAPO our fishing guide was awesome. He knows all the ins and outs on bay fishing. Very popular within all the guides. I strongly recommend him for your next fishing tour. We had a blast.

Personal touch for fishing with young children - We had a great time with Chapo (spelling?). It was just my husband and our two kids - ages 7 and 11. Chapo was very good with the kids making sure that they didn't pull their lines in too early and also encouraging them when they had a bite. Chapo watched the other fishing boats to see where they were getting bites and made sure to maneuver to where we were most likely to get a catch. We caught several large black drum and also some croaker. Chapo also made sure to fillet our fish and recommend where to take it to get it cooked for us. He was a wonderful guide and we cannot recommend him and SPI Excursions enough!

Awesome fishing trip - Nice relaxing fishing trip! Captain Chapo took us to a lot of spots and was knowledgeable about the area and fish. We got enough fish we had Lobo Del Mar Cafe make us some yummy fish tacos. Had a nice time! Definitely recommend.
